Corsair H50 closed-loop CPU Water cooler for $29 @ Frys In-Store (low stock) and Frys.com (OOS)

I never understood these low end watercoolers, high end air provides the same amount of cooling at same noise levels and without leakage danger. Great price though!

Damn, bought this a few years ago for $50 ish. Runs great as push/pull configuration.

a little bit easier to mount without hundreds of thin aluminum fins cutting your hand up. (know from experience...)

looks cleaner then a giant piece of metal with fans in the middle of your motherboard.
light weight because 99% of the time the motherboard is sitting vertical thats a lot of stress. like hinges on a door.

i heard corsair is going downhill on warranty and customer service now..

would still grab one if i need it.

have the H60 and H100 both works really well.
connector on the H100 sucks so double check it and make sure theres a good connection.

the H100 is overkill H60 is good enough. if you want something better custom watercool.

I think I will pick one up.

Are there any comparisons of it vs a hyper 212+?

I'm thinkin of getting this since the cooler master towers are a bit too tall for my mid-sized case, price is excellent

Horror stories puts me off on getting these liquid coolers, though I agree it does add to the clean look of a cable managed pc

Don't get this cooler for overclock...not that great. Trying to replace mine with a decent air cooler. It does look very clean though.

And the end of my tubes are starting to leak (green forms around it) I only had it for about a year.

Good price, but there seem to be issues with 1155 socket installation.

It looks as if the "50-1" (which is the item posted) does support the 1155.

LGA 1156 and 1155 are physically the same dimensions, so it's really just a matter of it being written in the specs or not.

I think the problems people report with 1155 sockets are more related to motherboard manufaturers not following intel's specifications as far as clearance area on the backside.
Or maybe a bad batch of boxes which lacked the 1156 mounting?

I got one of these from best buy for $40 a while back, installed it on my friend's i5 760 (lga 1156) without issue.

Ha... just as loud?? You gotta be smokin, It is silent...100%...I have three pc's built when these first came out no leaks at all. Now there are better units made these days but for 29 bucks if you wanna drop your overclocked temps by at least 15% or more these will do it.

I run one 955 and two 1060t Blacks Overclocked for my business/pleasure and they work like a charm besides the fact I paid $79.99 in 2010 right the before the two fan version came out so I had to jimmy rig my own push pull by adding a fan. No complaints here, I say go for it if you don't wanna break your wallet and are tired of having a black hole vortex drowning out your headphone Yanni session.
