A trick is to seal the hose connections with Silicone Caulk and let it cure before install if you are sketch about it leaking. I've had my H50 for 2+ yrs on an OClocked AMD 945Black system at 3900mhz with no issues. Running two fans in a push/pull setup sucking cool air in from outside.

If you look at the simple physics of it, these radiators are about the same size as a typical heatpipe/120mm fan tower heatsink. The water just moves the heat from the CPU to the radiator. Since the radiator and the tower heatsink are fairly similar in size, they're going to be fairly similar in performance.
These self-contained watercooling setups have the benefit of some mounting flexibility, at the cost of some increased complexity and the extra power draw and heat production of the water pump. You shouldn't see massive differences in performance either way - think of this as a remote-mount version of a 120mm heatsink. I've had the similar ECO A.L.C. on my overclocked i7-920 for a while, and am completely happy with it. I'm considering picking up this H50 just because it's so cheap, even though I don't have anything in mind to actually use it. |

The only gripe I have about this cooler is the material used for the pipes. There isn't enough flex to be able to route them comfortably, making installation require more work than necessary. Otherwise, a solid closed loop system for $29!
I would install one of these as an exhaust in pull configuration. Push-Pull is unnecessary as long as the fan can produce enough static pressure through the grills. Push-Pull and Push configuration has the issue of dust accruing between the radiator and is a pain to clean out. |

After ordering for pickup twice in the past 3 months, then driving down only to find out the "new" product I ordered was open box, I called ahead this time after I got my pickup confirmation and asked the lady to go see.
Sure enough, open box. Cancel. All hail fry's, King of Dirtbag Electronics retailers. ![]()

I put one of these on my gtx 480 and it works great. My 480 is dead silent, the only thing that makes slight noise is the pump but on a fan controller i turned it down a bit and all is good. Gonna buy one for my i5 to replace a scythe mugen 2. My friend will buy my mugen for $20 so this is only $12 for a much cleaner looking case. $30 is a great price
Thanks OP rep'ed.

1)PLEASE stop posting about CA sales tax and recycling fees
2)The "no HDMI, deal killer" joke isn't funny 3)Stop comparing video cards to cars, the price ranges are completely different 4)You are NOT going to call your relative to SUE and if you are, you're wasting time 5)Why does Tigerdirect ask for your SSN? No clue, just don't give it to them 6)Black Friday deals aren't as great as people make them seem. |

These make great GPU coolers, if you don't mind how large they are (~4 PCI slots including the card). I dropped 20 degrees under load off my dual-fan 6970.
$30 for the cooler and another couple bucks for a mounting bracket will match or beat the performance of any 3rd party GPU cooler out there save true water cooling. I honestly don't know why they don't sell and market closed-loop coolers for GPUs. |
