What does Apple Certified mean?

when they say "2 piece" do they mean 2 x (adapter + apple cable + mini/micro USB cable). so you get 6 pieces total? that's what i assume.

On a serious note, I think it means that is is certified to communicate with apple devices to tell the device how much current to draw etc.,

wish it came with lightning cable instead... still a tempting deal as I don't think i have a 2Amp charger.. wonder what's the rating of my pioneer unit's USB port.
EDIT: It appears the pioneer AVH unit's usb port only gives out 1amp. But ebay has loads of 3.1amp or 2.1amp dual port usb chargers for around $2 to $4 shipped.

Am I missing something? Can't you get a USB car charger for $2 any day now and use whatever cables you want?

Ok, just making sure. I don't think this is a great deal unless you really need all four of those cables for some reason. I have so many usb cables for my phones around it's ridiculous.

the dual purpose mini/micro cable could be useful to remove car (or house) clutter, but you are right that if you have tons of cables, those are not a big draw.
