How in the hell is a text message not compatible with the iPhone 5?

So AT&T obviously watched the Samsung TV commercials, learned that baristas own iPhones. They are saying that employees of Starbucks are not eligible for this offer, and this was the easiest way to do it.

Yes. Starbucks eGifts are gift card codes that can be printed and used on its own, or added to an existing gift card account. You'll be able to give this away.

Great, do you recall what time you registered? I was just able to complete registration and would like an idea of how long the wait until text mssg is.
