I bought this open box last year for $60 at HD. It was brand new. I think it works great, just don't expect to be taking tight corners with it if you are are using it in your yard. I would recommend doing anything like tree beds or curves with the shovel and use this for straight runs. Probably doesn't cut as deep as a good gas edger but no fuel issues. Plenty of power. A no brainer at this price if you have curbing. Check your walmart landscape areas as well. I found a bunch of blades sitting in an old box for full price and negotiated these unpopular items down to $3

does this thing vibrates like the gas edger? I hate edging because my arms vibrate long after I finished.

This is a great price! I have this model and absolutely love it. Would choose it over a gas powered version any day of the week.

I have this edger and it's very good. I used it installing my dogs electric fence wire on it's trenching setting and it works great. Alot cheaper than paying someone to do it.
