Here's some more proof that there is skyrocketing inflation on everything! OMG, what will we all do!!!!!!!!!!! That coupled with the fees I "may" have to pay if I buy with a CCard are just too much. It's put me over the edge. Goodbye cruel world!!!!!!!!

Microsoft will increase pricing for Windows 8 Pro upgrade from $39.99 to $199.99 starting tomorrow. Other Windows 8 licenses will go up similarly.

Also free Media Center feature pack keys (which add Media Center to Windows 8 Pro) will expire at midnight tonight, so activate/grab a key and use it if you haven't already.

Yes, there are Windows 8 threads. This is the only one I've seen that alerts people clearly that the pricing goes up tomorrow.

You can still upgrade via the $14.99 Windows 7 trade up promo, but that is only for people that bought Windows 7 PCs last fall or later. That promo ends at the end of February.

I used to buy 2.5 gal jugs from the local mega-mart for $1.89 about 3 years ago. I just checked the other day, and they're now $2.69 each. That's an annual inflation rate of almost 15%. WTF? It's water!

If you don't fight back, then the CEO's and Politicians will take all your freedoms and money away, just like what is happening currently in America. They don't care if you will soon be paying double for everything, and making the same wage. All they want is more profits/ and or more Regulations to control your life and lifestyles, aka more Power of the citizens and the workers.

An interesting DIY project is take some thrown out plastic bottles, clean them, and construct a cistern. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cistern

Then purify the rain water you collect naturally with sand/stones/rocks, and a wood fire/electric solar paneled or magnified light fire/ electrolysis, and add the purified water to your reused bottles of water.

You can do this indefinitely. lol, then make the system more automatic and efficient and rinse and repeat. Increase to industrial size if you need/want a lot more purified water, by gathering more thrown out/not used resources.

With this self-sustaining, autonmous system, you avoid inflation on Bottle Water for forever. See Discovery Channels Videos from the series "The Colony" at your local library for more free systems like this.

Who the F buys bottled water to begin with

I'm sorry but if you're buying bottled water you deserve what you get. Why, when something is already delivered to your home you need to go out and buy water in a plastic bottle that is bad for the environment, that has been shipped around the place (again bad for the environment) and some times leaving the aquifer it comes from nearly empty(yet again bad) and it's surrounding area a wasteland is beyond me.

I do that for my garden, but I'm not going to drink that. Have a Berkey on stand-by though if I need to.

I built my own DIY filtration system for my house so I basically have an Evian-like aquifer on tap (260 TDI, 7.4 ph).
