I dont need the smart tv features that this lacks. I will be plugging this into my HTPC running XBMC. Most of the content I watch is stored on there and streamed to my different devices.

edit: guess I should say mine is at best buy. They did a ship to store and I have like a week to pick it up before they cancel my order.

Good luck! I had my parents get this tv last week @ BB for $449 to replace their 32" tube tv. My dad wanted to wait for all these great Super Bowl deals that are coming. He's glad he didn't now. There's been a few deals but nothing great.

As for the tv. It has better PQ than I expected. Very good blacks for a LED. Don't notice any real motion blur. My only complaint (not my parents) is lack of inputs/outputs. This can be said for most televisions now days though. I'm spoiled and like my old school. My 7yr old 61" Sammy has 3 HDMI, 2 component, 2 composite w/SVHS, PC, and a dual tuner. Ahhh those were the days. Never can have too many SVHS connections. LOL!

Quick edit: The tv has better sound than most flat panels in it's class too.

Had this TV hooked up since last friday and it's been pretty amazing - up until 2 days ago when this different colored horizontal line came across it and won't go away - its on all inputs too - probably going to take it back to best buy today and swap it out - anyone else have this issue?

Best Buy swapped it out with no issues - turned out it was a bad pixel which can ruin the entire horizontal line on these.

resolution question about this tv

i tried to hook this up to a linux mint 14 desktop , and a windows 7 laptop,
neither can get the 1360x768 resolution to work. 1024x768 works. but its not full screen.

could someone please shed some light on my dilemma?

Sure, run it at it's native res, 1920×1080. anything else and it won't be very clear. I'm using an HTPC with Win 7 and 4 TV tuners. works great.
