Very very tempting... If 3D I wouldn't question for a second. I have a Toshiba flatscreen and it's my least favorite of all of the other flatscreens that I own because I paid a premium expecting more. For this price, I'd definitely be happy, but I think I am still going to hold out. Much appreciated though OP!

I pulled the trigger on the Best Buy for in-store pick up earlier today, and I think I'm going to stick with that and get it on my way home from work today unless I can't manage to fit it in my car. $27 worth of taxes isn't worth leaving work early to try to be home to receive this, and I've had some friends have some bad experiences receiving TV's shipped from Amazon that have been damaged in the process (this likely isn't extremely common, just enough to add onto my earlier reasoning).
Almost bought a Panasonic LED at the same size from someone who bought a display model for cheap from Costco with a Squaretrade Warranty for a little more and had been waffling on it all week hoping a good 50" LED deal would come around. At $450 NEW and slightly better reviews on sound I feel a bit better about buying this and can always get a Squaretrade warranty with the difference. |

Ha thats my problem, I dont know if I will be able to get this to fit in my mustang when I pick it up from best buy on my way home from work. There is plenty of room with the seats down but the trunk opening isnt very big. At least no tax for me because I purchased it in portland, oregon (live in washington). |

Human eyes can't see above 60Hz. (aka frames per second) 120Hz algorithmic upscaling is to reducing blurring of things such as soccerballs and other speed sports that occurs due to the feed from the broadcasting stations. (Most noticeable with soccerballs against an oversaturated green backgroun, in my opinion.)
(There is an argument for gaming that if you have a TV that accepts above 60Hz it improves game play if your online feed supports it. That split second edge of download time against enemies. In some cases sometimes the video game feed by itself, if the developers went overboard with effects and cutscene feed rates.) This TV is also not supposed to be edge lit. Pretty sure this TV is full back lit LED, as it looks to have the same model number as the BF Toshiba from Sears. Last edited by Fadekyn; 01-18-2013 at 11:59 AM.. |
