I tried the Walmart ones but they were not nearly as good as the Foodsaver brand. The were thinner & got holes more easily. If you only use the bag one time they are cheaper and would work fine most of the time. If you reuse your bags like I do they're not worth the little money you save.

You can't be serious with that comment! Ziploc bags are no comparison to these bags to freeze food. $4 per roll out the door.

Tips for foodsaver

1. Freeze with food saver bags. I'll buy 10-20lbs of meat foodsaver and freeze it, Great weeknight fare.
2. Cook 2-3x as much as you need for any meal. Leftovers in ziploc containers except (one household) serving in a food saver vacuum container, eating the foodsaver container last.
3. Salad fixings last a month in a foodsaver container in the fridge
4. Cheeses last forever in foodsaver containers in the fridge. Buy the big cheese at Costco/Sams and it wont go bad.

Hmm having a problem, when I use the code for free shipping, and or the 20% off ( tried both ways to see which deal would be best for me) using either code ( not trying to stack here, I know they don't), the price deduction shows up in my cart BUT, when I go to check out the code isn't applied

Been interested in these food saver things. Where can I find good deals on a machine?

I create my own jerky, and keep them in the freezer. I keep them in zip lock bag, but unfortunately freezer burn can take away their flavor after a while. Will these food saver bags help keep the jerky longer, without freezer burn?
