Really? I gave an example of a good reliable product that doesn't cost an arm and a leg... which exists in every product category... But you're clearly stuck in the mindset that only fancy branded products will deliver quality. Good luck with that.

They work fine enough. They come with double sided tape that you have to apply yourself, which is a little annoying. My 1.5 year old sometimes picks at the corner guards and they havent popped off yet --- but thankfully (knock on wood) she really isnt interested in them.

I would rate them "good enough" (not a baby product i am wildly excited over but seems to get its job done OK)

Slickdeals is about SAVING money, regardless of the product. Just because someone wants a high-end stroller or bag and wants to save money on it doesn't mean they are poor. Lots of wealthy people save money on things. Well-known fact

Granted that slickdeals is about saving money on a huge variety of things - no question there. The simple math is that if you can afford to "buy the nicer things", it's likely that the price of your time per hour is more than you're saving by spending your time on slickdeals. Personally, if I was making $100/hour, I would have better things to do with my life than spend it here. That's pretty much how it goes.

I'm not sure how linking articles about... millionaires investing money wisely and seizing opportunity.. 6 rich people who do something to save money (like living in a "modest 6,000 sqft home!)... rich people are frugal! (from a self help website - lol?) really proves your point, but it's an interesting read I guess. Thanks!

If the first lady saves on her wardrobe, I would say most people are frugal now a days.

This is a huge YMMV, but so far twice today I have been able to get chat reps to honor the 20% off for ANY baby item that is sold by amazon. I just add a bunch of items in my cart, mixed baby items. Explain that the code BABY2013 isn't applying to your order. I wrote "I am trying to use code BABY2013 for 20% off baby items sold by Amazon. I cannot get it to apply to my order." Both times they said there was a glitch they had seen and if I placed the order they will manually adjust the total by 20%.

The problem is that they want to calculate the discount and apply it to 1 or 2 of your items (less work for them). But if you end up returning the items that got the bulk of the discount, u are in effect losing the 20% off the other items. So both times I tried to press them to apply separate 20% off discounts to each item. 1st time he agreed to apply it to an item of my choice. 2nd time he agreed to apply to each item.

Hugely YMMV, but I was 2/2 so figured I'd share.

Edit:
I would not try this with diapers, as I believe they are warned to watch out for diaper deals that are too good. But I got it to work each type of Britax convertible carseat, sets of the safety 1st magnetic locks and carseat accessories and a bunch more.

Also, on second order, they gave me a total discount of $180, when max for the deal was $100
