FreedomPop - Free 2gb trial plan & Qualify to win 10gb/month for 1 year (for people who didn't par take in their 1st 2gb trial)

Got an email from FreedomPop saying:
Get their 2gb plan for free for a month, and also qualify to win their 10gb/month plan for 1 year. (valid if you utilize their link from 01/18/13 to 01/25/13)

I believe this is targeted to FreedomPop device users who didn't participate in their initial 2gb plan trial they had.
(verified with my other FreedomPop account which utilized the 1st 2gb trial, = DIDN'T WORK) laugh out loud

My suggestion: get in on their second free 2gb plan, and downgrade after one month. yummy

I think their email title is so misleading. Mine said "10GB every month for 1 Year at NO cost".

Then if you go into the email, there is not one mention of "winning" the 10GB free each month...you don't actually see that until you click the link to get it.

Even with the 500MB offer, I would have considered going with them, but this misleading marketing tactic has convinced me never to put my trust in them.

TD, their marketing practice is too skeevy for me, and this email just adds to the overall skeevy rep. Here's the message I got, verbatim:

Click the button, what I get is an offer for a trial that enters me into a random drawing. Not even fine print in the email.

They might have good service even for free, and good customer service, but their marketing does nothing but make me suspicious of how they'll treat me once I'm actually signed up.

As they said you will have extra FREE 5GB usage credit in your freedompop account after successfully approved a new Discover credit card. But now they refused to credit me those free 5 GB after I successfully approved & activated my new discover card two weeks ago. I keep back & forth emailing to them with my screen print of my CC account. They said my case is closed today & they couldn't credit those free 5 GB in my Freedompop account.
