Have been with Hostlatte for more than a year now. Havent had any problem with servers or speed, guess I have 100% uptime ( didnt see my site going down ) !! They even upgraded my account to "unlimited" without me even asking them to ! So ya thumbs up for them.

I dont think they are a one man company , I have had different guys replying to my tickets.

And yes having a phone number would really help them sell !

Unlimited data or unlimited domains? I have 6 domains after getting a free one from 36 months of espresso tall. Yeah, didn't think that one out too well. Wonder if there's an option to pay for hosting 1 additional domain rather than upgrading all the way to unlimited domains.

Unlimited data. I just don't get the gripes that people have about this offer. If you truly need "unlimited" data or storage, you probably shouldn't be on shared hosting anyway. I just like knowing that I don't have to worry about running out of space for the several little websites that I run.

I don't see that Hostlatte is doing anything different from my previous host, Bluehost. The support that Sean provided when I was switching hosts was great, far better than anything I'd ever had from Bluehost.

I agree. It's just the semantics that people are bringing attention to, and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. That fellow Sean has been here in the threads and hasn't addressed that. Just curious, is all. Not really a red flag, imo.

Had a couple issues since I signed up for Espresso Tall (hosting 5 sites max) this morning. Got everything sorted out with customer service via email. Was impressed to see my emails responded to within the hour. I sent follow up emails saying thank you, confirming the changes they made to my account worked as intended, and the the two reps I spoke with regarding different issues responded with "No problem!" and smilie face emoticons. That's the kind of customer service I like, personally. I'd prefer that over making a phone call any day.

However, one minor complaint is that I can't open a ticket on the iPhone's browser. I can fill out the form, but can't click Submit.

Not directly related to this post I think, but does anybody have any suggestions for an inexpensive FTP host? I just want to have my Blue Iris ftp up videos when motions are triggered on my cams. I wouldn't be using the space as a backup service or anything else.

Still a good deal. First time trying them. I have a few accounts at Bluehost.
I went for a three year contract on the Grande deal.
Dedicated IP is another $3 per month.
The servers are located in Canada.

Progress report:
I uploaded one site and had a minor php problem.
Now the Control Panel won't come up. Waiting with a help ticket...
Problem solved. Proceeding with more sites...

Look for a storage provider, or just grab a vps. There are a lot of cheap vps, that way you wont have a problem with shared hosting providers.

Anyone have experience with this as a host for a website for a small gaming community? We get around 100 hits a day and are currently using enjin. We need a few things:

1. Ability to embed pics, and video in thread mostly from youtube.
2. Use some sort of prebuilt forum somewhat like enjin where we can have donations (donor status (glowing nametag/ level of status bronze, silver, gold, platinum) this is a must, we take in a lot of donations each month because of this). If we had a base some people can build on it.
3. Possibly move everything from the old forums over, but this is not a must.

We pay $30 a month for this service, which i know is extremely high, if someone could suggest something else i would really appreciate it. Keep in mind the donor status is a huge deal bc of it we take in around $200 a month in donations, donor status does not affect u at all in game, just on the forums. Im seeing this at >$15 a year which is super low, even if something is less money we can move to that, thanks guys.

I thought I might keep this but now they only allow certain IP to connect via SSH so I have to give them my IP which is not possible since I don't get static IP, especially when I'm logging in from my mobile phone. I asked them about that too, they said its for security which I can understand. As for not having static ip address, I don't think that is a problem if you are using Comcast. Cause my IP address havent changed for a year! If it does change just shoot them a email they are pretty fast on responding. I feel safe knowing that they have a strong security in place.

With $30 a month you can sure do a lot! I would suggest just purchasing your hosting and install phpbb or something and find a plugin for donations. Thats all enjin is right?

Purchased the Grande plan, everythings work perfectly and the support is GREAT!
