That's not a 5 year warranty. That's a 3 year squaretrade warranty. If you buy the TV at Costco, Costco covers the warranty from the day you purchase to 2 years later, then squaretrade cover the warranty for 3 more, for a total of 5. If you buy the warranty without purchasing your TV from Costco, you're covered for one year with the Manufacturer warranty, and 3 more with squaretrade, a total of 4.

That link you posted is only the 3 year squaretrade part of the warranty. Costco warranty is completely different.

If TV bought from COSTCO - 5 years else 4 years.

However, workaound to get 5 year for 99 is : If you use AmEx to buy TV from Amazon - Amex covers one more year after square trade. But will have to findout this with ST and Amex....

tv has mixed reviews, not sure to press the button or not

very tempting but i'm still holding out for a better deal, perhaps a 65 or 70" with 3D. hopefully before the the big game there'll be something.

Any thoughts on this.



I love Vizios. Can anyone comment on differences between this 65 inch Vizio [amazon.com]... and the 60 inch Samsung? Thanks in advance.

Even though the final cost is more than with Amazon, I chose to go with Costco since it includes a free 2 year warranty (1 extra year) and then bought the 3 year extended warranty for just $100 (which includes electrical problems which are prevalent here in Florida). Since they both have the Square Trade warranty, they are the same coverage but Amazon charges $289, so the final cost is about $42 less at Costco.

FYI stock dwindled down the this morning, from 20 units to only a handful. Still same price at other stores but Amazons price match and return policy is better than most.

If you are an executive member at Costco, you get 2% back at the end of the year, that's another 40$ cashback.
