For those who bought the 60in, how's it? My viewing distance is 6-8 ft depending on set up. 60 isn't too big, right? Y I know that's what my wife said even though I don't have one but thought I'd get that outta the way.

Personally at that distance I'd stick with the 55", you'll start to see the pixels if you're that close to a 60"but that's just my 2 cents.

Got it on Friday and have been playing around with it. Calibration settings are a good guideline, but my TV is in a bright room, a wall of windows coming in from the left. This TV is bright. Like too bright. Also, keep in mind I don't know anything about electronics but I got the TV and thought, "WHAT?!? The faces don't look real, they are too smooth." This is evidently called the soap opera effect and on Samsung TV's it's called Auto Motion Plus. You can turn this off. You can google all this info which will give you more detailed info as to what I'm talking about here.

I think 60" would be too large. We are sitting anywhere from 9-12' away for our 60".

Looks like a good deal for the 55", but I'm going to hold off and go for the either 55" or 60" ES8000. Any deals going on this particular model recently?
