Can't say how great this TV is. No issues what so ever. Had it calibrated from the Geek Squad for free since I'm a Best Buy silver member now. Looks crystal clear and couldn't be happier. 3D is amazing and Xbox looks great. Was able to price match this new price, and I purchased mine in mid-november. Kudos to best buy for doing that. Viewing angles are fine in my opinion, and only minor bleeding at the edges. I suggest buying this TV, along with getting Avatar to really show off the 3D.Big GrinBig Grin

Sweet deal. I paid $1895 a couple weeks ago for the 55" version. Now I have some options - get a refund $400 from BestBuy for price match, or upgrading to the 60" version and still get $100 back.

Wlhat would you do?
depends on how far you would be watching your TV from..

Hey. Would you mind sharing the picture settings? I have not had great success getting the best picture so far.

Completely agree. We have found the picture quality to be amazing from all angles and although I'm not a huge fan of 3D, I have to admit that the 3D quality is good as well.

Would anyone here return a Panasonic WT50 (I paid $1499, no tax) for this Samsung 7100 (or Samsung 7150 from Costco)? Need some input and advice. I just purchased a Panny WT50 recently and would return it if the Samsung is THAT much better.

These don't come with the camera like the 8000 does but you can purchase one separately to hook up to these.

Any webcam or a specific one for the TV. If so, do you happen to know what is the camera item number?

I went to costco to look at the 65" Sammy very nice, although not sure if I will jump on this deal.
My Costco does not have the 65" TV only the 60". Are you sure the size is correct?

No camera on the 7100 series. Here are the specs.

I'm in the same boat. I have to pay taxes with Amazon so for me Costco ends up being the better choice. Are they available in store?
Yes, it is available in store, at least in Irvine CA. I saw the TV and am interested. I'm in CA and taxes would have to be paid to Amazon. Costco is a better choice for me as well.

I understand that there is no camera for the ES7100. But I thought you said that we can buy 1 for it. I look everywhere and could not find the camera for ES7100.

The problem with buying from Costco is you pay $96 more on taxes but on the other side you will get an extra keyboard.

The Samsung Series 7 55-inch UN55ES7100 is also available through Dell for 1497.99 with 2 yr warranty. You will see the 2nd yr of warranty when added to cart. BUT you may be able to get it 124.99 cheaper by talking to customer service and refusing 2nd yr of warranty...Not sure but possibility???? If you follow the personalize this TV link there is a option to buy without the warranty that takes you straight to chat.

Aside from warranty.. looks like its the same price.

I would go with Amazon for same price, no tax in my state, and 2% rewards/ (plus 3 points for every dollar when using Amazon Visa)

Im just hesitant that a deal will pop up for the 7500 or 8000 in the next 2 weeks or so.

I feel uneasy wearing 3D glasses and rather risky on removing and to get up and move.I suppose it my be due my increased age and wearing complex number vision glasses Be sure for comfort and safety before buy any 3D.tv.

I have seen the 55" in person and love the slimness of the frame. Can anyone please confirm if the 60" is just as thin or does the border of the tv get thicker?

Also, the next model up with build in camera un55es7500 tv comes with a free soundbar:

Look at the bottom of the page, samsung gives a good comparison sheet. I personally think the un55es7100 is a good deal.
