Thanks, she definitely wants/needs a flat screen - she can probably get some HD channels over the air - and will be using a BR player as well. Needs at least a 42" her living room area (huge house).

Great price... ugg I paid $800 for this March of last year ;/ And actually financed it through my Amazon card for 12 months lol... still paying it off.

Only thing annoying is it displays a banner ad when you change volume, other than that great tv with great internet features.

I have been following this models from Panasonic for awhile. One of the review on Amazon also caught my attention with many comments from other customers as well....

Check out Cowboom or get one of those $400 51 inch 720 plasmas when on sale. She doesn't need the smart stuff if she has a blu ray, plus she can't do netflix or amazon prime anyway if there is no high speed internet.

$250 for that guy, but it's not recognizable brand. Does this panny justify the $150 (or $250 if you dont count the credit) premium?

Anyone know if there are alternate WIFI adapters that work with this model? I would hate to have to spend another $60, kind of hurts this deal. Or I suppose I can just run a LAN cable through my ceiling.



Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like that review only complains about Panasonic support.

Cross your fingers and you may never have to deal with them and that won't be a factor for you at all.

This tv will be an upgrade from a 22" from maybe... 2004? Do you know if I can buy the tv now and use the $100 GC for the warranty and wall mount?

Bought the Panasonic 47" LED from Amazon a few weeks ago for $429.

Other than the shiny, reflective screen and poor sound from the tv itself, I like everything else about it.

You can always use a wireless ethernet bridge (aka client bridge/adapter) instead of wifi adapter. Gives you a lot more flexibility in terms of signal reception (only limited in orientation and placement by an ethernet cable). And you can probably find one for $20-30. If you grab a dd-wrt compatible router and configure it as a wireless ethernet bridge, you can even use the integrated switch for multiple devices (network capable blu-ray player, xbox, etc.).
