So, I bought one tv and used the points to buy the 2nd tv (got additional points for the 2nd tv). Returned the 1st TV got my credit back and points deducted from my accuont, so I'm negative ~15k. Now I've changed my mind and want to return the 2nd tv. I go to Sears and try to do the return but they will not give me a full refund, SYW side is saying since I owe points and will hang on to ~$200. Spent over an hour at Sears while the store manager talked to the SYW folks without luck. You would think if I tried to return both it would even out, guess not. I need to call SYW and see if I can try to sort this out.
If not I might just keep it. Or if anyone wants this TV in the Los Angeles area PM me. I bought it for $560 and would be willing to sell it for that much. TV is still in the unopened box. |

Sunday 1/20 Ordered the tv from sears.com and picked it up later that day. 258,500 sywr points posted to my account. Thursday 1/24 Ordered a 2nd tv from sears.com, used the 258,500 from the prior order, got $275 in lands end gift cards from shop discover (cost $220 discover cash back bonus money), and put the remainder on my discover card. Friday 1/25 Received e-mail from sears.com that there was a problem with the order. Called to find out and they said discover declined the charge. Called Discover and they said they did not decline it, it appeared on my account, and that sears messed up. Also got the approval code from Discover that they had sent through to sears.com Called sears back and they changed their story. Now it was a computer glitch on their end. So I was told my shopping cart was saved and all they needed was an updated form of payment. I explained all my forms of payment were valid and that they had messed up the order. Then they said I could not use the 258,000 sywr points since they were being credited back to my account in 7-10 business days. Yes, my sywr points are being held hostage by sears and their complete ineptness, stupidity, etc.I went round and round and round with Sears.com that day and no one could do anything. I even stopped into a sears store, had the manager call about it and we were told the same lie as the first one that Discover had declined the charge. When I told them that was wrong, they were pissy and sarcastic in their response of, "No we didn't, it was Discover declining the charge," and they proceeded to hang up on us. So I placed another order and this time they did not give me the 250,000 sywr points. Waiting to hear what their excuse is this time. WARNING: sears doesn't know their @$$ from a hole in the ground when it comes to the sywr points and also their ordering system is a complete disaster many times. Look at how many different people got different amounts of points (or no points) when ordering the exact same item. A friend of mine is a lawyer and will draft them a letter, just to let them know we are thinking of them. sears = ![]()

My TV issue STILL isn't resolved but I'm supposed to hear back this Saturday. I have a higher up's direct number now and she claims she has my call back scheduled on her calendar. If I don't get a call from her on Saturday I'll start spamming her line with calls. The TV went out of stock/removed from site while they changed the price up to 899.99 and dropped the points down to 100,000, but now that its back in stock they better give me my damn TV and fulfill the original deal at the least. She claimed she was even willing to give me a comparable 3D TV, without up-charge, if that one didn't come back into stock but I'm 100% fine if they just fulfill the originally placed order. We'll see how it goes. NewDoc did you get your issues resolved yet? |

Thank you for sharing. I had the exact same story while ordering a second TV on Thursday, Whatever cancelled order without canceling email or confirmation number. Lots of calls but can't find any answer, lots of email but never got an answer.
It is obvious sears intentionally didn't let us use the rewards point.

"Thank you for contacting Shop Your Way Rewards regarding your recent TV purchase. This bonus offer was intended to only award once per customer. It was misfiring and you did receive it multiple times. A bonus fix was put into place, which is why it did not award points on your final purchase. Unfortunately, I cannot add the points for your last TV purchase. Once again, thank you for contacting us and being a Shop Your Way Rewards member. We value your business and look forward to serving you in the future." Sincerely, Laurie T. Shop Your Way Rewards Member Service |

Man, you guys need lots of lesson in how to play Sears and its reward program. I've been winning their game for about 2 years and owning their stupidity to my advantage. I got on this deal and I completely pwned them. I have to admit though the dumb morons working at the B&M made it so easy. So it is somewhat YMMV.

Here is one lesson. You used the points from this deal. Good luck getting a refund. You will be in for a monster fxxk session lasting at least 2 weeks even if you return the TV and everything you got using the points. Better off contacting your CC. Sears' system is so fxxked up that they just don't know what to do.

So, I ordered 3 TV's in rapid succession, as soon as the bonus points posted to my account. Picked up 2 of the last ones, and left the first one at the store, withough picking it up. I was hoping it would self cancel, but it didn't.
I called the store last week to cancel it, but it was still in the system on Saturday. Saturday, I chatted with Sears rep to cancel, and he did over the chat. However, my points have not been taken back. How long does it take for the points to be taken back? Or will I get to keep them? Anyone know? 5 TV's in the house with Verizon FiOS and we only pay $3.99/month to connect all 5 of them. Thanks to Ceton InfiniTV4 and CableCard.
