Oh they are true, I've experienced it first hand. I've dealt with their customer service. I've even seen them posted many times here on SD. Like I stated these issues are rare and are usually easily resolved but who wants the headaches? I'm glad to see you've had no issues with them, but others of us have.

I just ordered one for delivery this Tuesday and it came out as follows:

$850 + $42.50 sales tax Richmond, VA = $892.50


-250,000 SYWP bonus points for this purchase = $250.00
-8,500 SYWP standard points for this purchase = $8.50
-9,600 SYWP that I already had in my account = $9.60
Total savings of $318.10
Total unofficial price paid = $892.50 - $318.10 = $574.40

I have a brand new LG 55LW5600 that I will sell because of this deal I just got. Is there anything else that I am missing? Thanks OP.

Great in theory, but how can you get the 5% from Sears Card if you are paying with gift cards? Do you get 5% cashback by using the Sears card to buy the gift cards? I wouldn't think so.

Then don't buy or look for anything of this size from a brick and mortar department store (Sears, HH Gregg, JCPenny, BestBuy, Walmart, etc) as you'll be stuck with taxes whether you like it or not. Drawback, get it online from an online store that doesn't have a point of presence in your state, avoid taxes, but you had better pray that they have a repair/return policy that is air tight because returns are going to be a bitch.

-106.83 in points
=$389.23 in final cost

I'm wondering if I should sell/return this 47" for the 55"which costs

849.99
-106.83 in points used
=821.16 Cost
=771.89
-258.50 in points back
=513.39

How much do you think I could sell this nearly brand new 47" for? If I return it after I spend the 100k points, what would happen?

I love the 47", but I may just return it or maybe resell it. What a spectacular deal.
