Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 $19 w/pick up $20 w/shipping ~ Office Max

Just picked one up at my local OfficeMax $19

Quick tip:

At OfficeMax these are not placed near the PC Keyboard or Tablet keyboards, they are usually on the END CAPS of isles, I looked everywhere at 2 OfficeMax's only to find them on the end cap of the Printer isle!

I tried calling to see if they had them in stock and the reps couldn't find them either, most likely because they were using the wrong search term in their computer, so try either the MODEL number or TITLE, which I'll provide below:

Just picked one up I had on hold (last one!) at a local Officemax and it rung up as $19. I then returned a bluetooth keyboard I had bought the day before this post. So happy with this purchase.

I paired it with my Android tablet fine, but the keyboard comes up as the model 6000, not 5000. Weird, right?

The Office Max in St. Louis Park, MN, had a bunch. The end cap showed them at $79.99, and the sales rep told me that was the correct price. However, it rang up at $19.00, so I bought on (just a few hours ago).

There's a little black sticker on the back (about the size of a quarter) that says "Bluetooth Mobile Keybord 5000 (formerly Bluetooth Keyboard 6000." I guess I wouldn't be surprised if it was identified as a 6000 when pairing.

Thank you for the pointer of where I can find the keyboard in the store. I placed an online order last night for pick-up, but this morning they sent me a cancellation email. On my way home tonight I thought I'd stop at a different OfficeMax on the way home, and I'm glad I did. I searched everywhere in the store only to find two of them at the exact location described above - at the end of the printer isle. Posted price was $79, but it rang up $19 at the register. There's still hope for folks who really want this keyboard! Good luck!

They are essentially the same keyboard. However, the 6000 was also sold as a keyboard /mouse combo. Perhaps for that confusion, they rename the keyboard alone as 5000.

There's one left at the Mission Viejo, CA OfficeMax as of noon on Tuesday 1/22. It's on the end cap for "Desktops" to your left as you enter the store.
