You really going to crunch numbers and analyze every single purchase to see if you are not overpaying? LOL Last edited by TheOldinOut; 01-22-2013 at 08:00 AM.. "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. That's why they call it 'the present.'"

Lol, have you ever done any real outdoor activity with these cheaper brands. I bought a cheap ski jacket and bib from macys and the gap for my little kids. After 1 day of light skiing, and a couple of falls, her legs were soaked wet because the material was not water repellant enough. The cheap ski gloves we got from Academy Sports and outdoors also kept her hands cold and wet. That never happened with the north face and spyder pants and gloves the following year. To compare material with a brand like Old Navy or any other cheap brands shows your ignorance truly. It is more reasonable to compare with a brand like Columbia which is pretty decent in quality for less money. But even Columbia is not that cheap anymore on their upper level line. And when there is a sale like this, it makes the price difference almost neglible. |

Why do you think Apple stuff is worth the premium and yet cannot fathom that brands like TNF can be also? I do agree TNF at retail is quite pricey but when on sale, it is very justifiable when you compare it to comparable brands (not Old Navy/Gap/Macys, etc.) I was going to bring up the example of video cards like some ATI Crossfire cards vs. some cheap cirrus logic $10 card, but the Apple example you brought up is good enough. Anyway, back to the thread... I hope this Windwall jacket is nice. I like to roll the sleeves up and wear these casually when out. Since I'm in Texas, it's not really cold enough to get a Denali or anything bigger. First time going with a Windwall though.
