Thanks Op, my wife's nook died after 3 years, and she's been asking for a new one. For $50, how can you go wrong. There were 2 left at the CT store I went to. The guy ringing me up had to keep checking the price, lol. No back light for me after reading the other thread.

Thanks, op. I got 2 at my local staples, one for me and one for my mom, and was able to use the $50 of $100 BBY Mastercard coupon. They came out to $25 plus tax, awesome!

 Nook Simple Touch on clearance in Staples for 49.50 (B&M) I don't have a receipt, online price is $79.00 [staples.com] but the inventory checker shows "Low Stock Clearance Item".

but Staples clearance Nook about 3-4 weeks ago  and the price is $49.50 for Simple Touch $69.50 for Glowlight

got one from local store, 39.90 after they match the 10 off 40 coupon from OD. I think they still have some units back. No display unit, have to ask for it.
