Got this exact TV at this exact price from a front page deal from Walmart like a month ago. Great TV. I have it hooked up to a HTPC, so "smart TV" is very useless to me. As is the need for more HDMI ports. And I hate 3D. I just wanted a big, good-looking picture. That's all you should need out of a TV.
About the "TruMotion"... There is no option for it. Not to worry, it's already at the ideal setting. There is no blur from fast motion scenes, and there is no soap opera effect in slow moving scenes. I was very worried about being stuck with a soap opera, but it really is non-existent. About the picture. It's pretty typical for a modern LED: great colors, mediocre black levels. The glossy screen helps with the black levels though, just make sure you have no lights behind you. In darkness, this TV gets pleasing levels of black. The colors are wonderful on this TV, just about 100% accurate and pronounced. At this price, you're getting a great value for the picture quality. It helps that they stripped out the extras, which I consider a good thing. Remember, always set the picture to Cinema mode, or adjust it yourself. Luckily, this TV has a picture set-up wizard if you know what you're doing. AND TURN OFF ECO MODE, or whatever it was called. I kept adjusting the picture and it still looked like garbage until I disabled this thing. I almost returned the set. The wizard will not ask you about this, you have to seek it out yourself. No!!!!!!!! When you get up in the morning you must turn on your 7.1 surround set up with the TV and crank it to 11 to get your morning news and traffic!!!! You never heard traffic till you've heard it in surround. ![]() I love how some people have to tell you how to do things you already know how to do well. |

Isn't this deal on LG 55'' LED Cinema 3D HDTV 55LM4600 - as low as $510 + tax better?
5 TV's in the house with Verizon FiOS and we only pay $3.99/month to connect all 5 of them. Thanks to Ceton InfiniTV4 and CableCard.

![]() Thanks for standing up for me, although I wasn't offended. The internet is like being out in the wild man. I'm only entertained when someone is rude. Life's too short to have to fight back that way, especially if I'm truly not offended. We all only know each other through words... just have to trust that the average user thinks the same way we do. Repped for being a nice guy ![]() Now, let's all go grab a beer!! REP BOTH! |
