I am in the market for a new tv but i dont know much about the different name brands and accessories. What is the difference in how many HDMI inputs there are? what does the normal tv have? All i need this tv for is cable and playstation, is two all i need?
There is no "normal" number. When they first came out TVs only had one (1) HDMI input. As time went by they have added more. Three is now common. Each input is used by each input device. If you have a cable service that uses HDMI, then that's one used. If you have a Blue-Ray player that has HDMI, then that's two used etc. It is not a problem however because you can buy a cheap HDMI switch for about $10 that will allow three devices to share an input. I have a switch that changes to the active input automatically and it cost $15. Manual ones are even cheaper.
when I see only 2 HDMI, i start to think that it's one of those stripped down versions they sell black friday....imo, the save a few bucks in other ways as well...might even be the same model # but they cut some corners (the samsung 55 inch at best buy black friday is a good example imo)
don't know about this one, but i'm gonna hold back
