Picked up a Kindle Paperwhite for $70. It did not work on scan, but nicest manager I've ever come across investigated and did a manual override.

Afterwards, he went to the back and said "I need to figure this thing out." I guess there's still a lot of confusion, but I wasn't the first through the door. Cashier said to him "it's that coupon again."

Trying to figure out what else I should get before this dies.

Nope, I know not a single person who works there, just got a great (and fast!) manager. I originally had a stack of 50's, but when she started batching them i asked if I could get more and she said "Sure!", so I retrieved the remaining cards they had in stock.

I'm used to negotiating on some slick deals, but she made this one very easy for me and didn't question it once. For override reason she put in "coupon does not exclude amazon GC" since she read the exclusions herself and noted that it should've worked automatically in the first place.

i really don't think it works out right with video games, although I did use it for video game, the supervisor had to come over and put in all kinds of stuff to make it work. Might be different at other locations.

You have no idea what you're talking about. It's stolen because it's very expensive by weight and easily sold. Same reason tide detergent is stolen so much. No to GC. Manager lumps any "activation" card of any "sort" as "airtime" cards and therefore are excluded.
