Seems shady indeed... |

Should be an interesting day, battle of morals, where no matter what, people will justify their interpretations and actions, no matter what other say.
![]() This coming from the person who hates it when others clear out a store of an item, but her reason is good enough to do it.....

1. my time at my professional rate(s), 2. my fuel costs, 3. wear-and-tear to my ride, 4. expenses during my trip (food, drink, parking fees, etc.) 5. any incidental costs that I could think up... Judges usually give a victor a lot of leeway once you make your case, especially on incidentals, so long as they are not preposterous/outrageous in nature/origin. Using the above criteria, I could easily reach the $1k mark on a "$50 off $100" suit. Last edited by NewtonFine; 01-22-2013 at 03:50 AM.. |

chemistry major or housekeeper?
electorlux pehaps?? I might be wrong however .... It is easier to ask for foregiveness than permission
and flavour of the day......greedy bastards "We can't continue to have a system where Wall Street executives privatize the gains and then socialize the losses. Accountability needs to be a two-way street," update let's toast the executives at AIG for doing such a great job by granting them bonuses.......absolute crap and again no accountability..... |

There seem to be a lot of individuals who decided to forego this slickdeal due to a lot of reasons, the primary one being the changes made to the offer--the next being, what? Finding out too late?
I found out around 5:30pm--didn't get to the store 'til around 7--and that was AFTER driving to work to print the coupon out, THEN picking up the family (several towns away). Sure, I knew I'd probably miss out, but that was okay. The worse I could've been told was "no", right? I RELIED however, on the good ol' ignorance, fatigue and uncaring attitudes of not only the BB employees (CSR & Managers included) but retail employees PERIOD. For every ONE employee who takes pride in their job and will exhaust all of their energy to do all that they can to follow their directives TO THE LETTER, there are TWENTY employees who simply don't give a $&@%. They're there for a check and nothing else. As sad as it may seem, this is the TRUTH and there's NO way around it. Sad? Yes. Will I take advantage of this when and if I can? YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I WILL. I thank all of those SD's who attempted before me in my local store and got shot down. At 7 pm I was SURE to find someone who would throw in the towel and just say "$&@% it." a MANAGER no doubt. This guy didn't even read the coupon. He just came in an overided it. I threw in a $4 coaxial coupler (they still use those?!) to make my purchase over $100. My wife threw in nothing--and she got the Roku XS--a SET TOP BOX (?!?!) which was stated as not a part of the promotion. And this was AFTER she was told it would be a no go by a manager in the FRONT of the store--she simply came to the BACK. Do you REALLY think that this coupon will NEVER be used again this week? You're SADLY mistaken. An employee will come into work today, be told of the situation and either not care, or not LISTEN. So don't just chalk it up as a loss, SD'ers!!! The WORSE you can be told is "no". This isn't about BEST BUY. This is about HUMAN BEHAVIOR. We came to earth to visit in the 1800's and haven't left SINCE!! We LOVE you earthlings!!! |

if Best Buy didn't intend for the coupon to be used in this or any other way, they should put that on the coupon. it is NOT our job to interpret what their intentions are. suppose I buy an airline ticket for $200 between LA and NY and the airline doesn't mention the change fee or non-refundable on my e-ticket receipt, how am I suppose to tell what their intention is? they can't just tell me a week later "sorry, it's not refundable, we assume you saw the $200 price and knew our intention was for it to be non-refundable/changeable..." |

here goes my story, ran this morning as soon as i seen the coupon. tried to buy apple tv, they wouldnt let me, so i grabbed a roku 2 xs instead, cost me $55 asked manager if i could do it again he said sure man theres no limit on here, so i got a wireless headset for my 360 and camera bag for $65, i didnt have any more coupons left, so i went home and printed up 6 more with the idea im going to buy all the hdds i need for my new raid, new manager there wouldnt sell me more then 1, and i even had my wife stand in line behind me, but she was using my mastercard the bitch at the counter realized it was the same name, already charged my card, and then voided it out afterwards like a real bxtch. so now i gotta wait 3-5 days for my refund . so i only ended up with 1 2 tb hdd for $65
oh well all in all i still saved $150 on the stuff, but i really needed those other hdd's.. gonna try again tomorrow i guess PHP, MySQL, Javascript, jQuery, Android Developer in Las Vegas Area.

My gf and I went by tonight before closing. I honestly could not find anything to buy, but she did pick up the individual size K-cup machine for about half price ($100-50 coupon) which was a bargain. No problems with the coupon so long as you were within the revised inclusions.
I think this was an epic mistake on BB's part, but really, what's new? I didn't expect much so I wasn't disappointed. |
