But in response to you, yes, I agree that people shouldn't whine about it not working. Everything that could be said on that topic has been. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't keep trying if they want to. There are still ways of getting a "slickdeal" out of this: 1) Get BB Corp to send you a $25-$100 gift card. 2) Get a PM at Staples, Office Depot, etc. 3) Sweet talk a BB manager into letting you use it, or at least giving you a compensation offer. The fact is, BB screwed up. They issued out a coupon, sent it to many people, and then changed their mind a few hours later. They never bothered to even tell the people they sent it to in the first place that it wasn't valid anymore. So many, many people wasted their time and energy to go and redeem a coupon that BB didn't want to accept anymore. So I personally have no problem with people trying to stick it to them anyway they can. |

If he actually received it from bestbuy, he can accept my apologies, and he can take it up with bestbuy, I sincerely doubt that he received it and waited such a long time to try it and then got all riled up.
And him loading a crapload of product and leaving it is justifiable in your opinion? How old is he? 13? he is not punishing BB, he is punishing the employees there. He is being a big jerk. Maybe you should just go put those products back on shelves. |

I guess you were in your right to load the cart and leave it as you did..... ![]() But it's the co-operate BB that should take responsibility for this, don't know how they let this coupon slip. |

Ok - This thread is out of control.
I finally got a chance to go to Best Buy again over the weekend and as expected, the coupon wasn't accepted. I was trying to buy a toaster oven and the Manager tried to offer me 20% off. I knew there was already a coupon available for this so I declined. I went to a nearby Bed Bath and Beyond and bought the same product there. It was cheaper than in Best Buy before any discounts and they gave me $50 off and 20% off (BB&B coupon), so it was a better outcome for me anyway. I took my business elsewehere and got a way better deal! I called BB corporate and requested compensation and as expected, the rep refused. She said a memo had been circulated interally that no gift cards can be sent out because they is worse than accepting the coupon and they could be used on Apple products. I mentioned that my coworkers already have compensation giftcards out to them in the mail and she went as far as to say that she could offer me the gift card too and then end the call, but all these requests are reviewed by a supervisor before they are mailed out and even if she puts in the request it is going to get denied. No gift cards are going to be shipped out. I'm not sure if she was bluffing, but for those of you that got promised gift cards, did you get any sort of reference number or confirmation? Has anyone received them yet? I then called RewardZone too and they seem to be aware of the issue as well and said that they've also been instructed to not honor the discount and they are also adding notes to the account to avoid different messages on multiple calls. So I think all departments have finally been informed of whats going on (yes, it took them a week!). Anyone that called in on Monday or Tuesday is probably OK. If anyone had issues using the coupon after Monday on an item in the ammended terms and actually bought it, ask for a call center supervisor (be prepared for more of a wait) They had a $50 check sent to me for compensation. I have not received it yet, of course, but have their written word that they would, and did send it

I was sitting here playing WoT and heard something smack against the door. Standard drive by UPS delivery. I swear the dude must toss it out of the truck like a newspaper. It's my order from BB during the $50 MC blowout last week. I love you Best Buy!!!!!

So on one hand you are saying how great of a person she is by helping you out, and on the other hand you are telling thousands of people to start calling/emailing her demanding compensation??? As the saying goes, with friends like these.... Here is a little SD rule of thumb: if someone at a company helps you out, as Elizabeth seemed to have done for you, then you should never, never, NEVER drop their contact info into the thread for everyone else to harass them.
