Just purchased a NVIDIA EVGA GTX 660 TI video card. The GTX 660 & 660 TI are already on sale for $210 and $280 (plus tax), so the extra $50 off brings them to an okay price.

The 50 off barcode didn't scan, but came right up once manually punched in.

Amazon gift card was a no go in Laurel, 'S. cashier said "we've tried, doesn't work with gift cards, only products."

I bought a Sonicare HX6711/02. sells on Amazon for 91 bucks, was 63 with tax out the door. seemed pretty sweet to me.

So at this point the cashier just needs to input code manually and system will take it with no manager override needed unless you are buying GCs correct?

Anyone post on a transaction where this is the case?
No manager override was required.

Wife just used it on a Roku XS at the Manahawkin, NJ store. However, it did require a manual override. Cashier, CSR, and Manager all took a close look at the terms.
Thanks for the info.
It would be helpful if it works, please indicate if it need manual override or not.
Because if it need manual override, some people know manager in certain store will never do it and just waste of time.

The wife and I just used. No problems. They scanned it and it work just fine.
What did you buy? If it scans it would be so much easier than having managers involved.

Failed at the BB in Commack, NY. The cashier was really nice and tried to get it to work. Tried with GCs and with regular items, no go. He brought me to customer service, still no go there. Then he brought the manager over, he examined the coupon for a bit including looking up stuff on his phone and calling corporate. He said he couldn't verify where the coupon came from and asked if he could take my email address and get back to me later. I didn't want to push it, so I said that's fine and left.

Summary: Looks like very YMMV.

wow. that manager is going to get a stern lecture.

Or get fired.

I'm really shocked in this day and age they would put out a coupon of this magnitude without thinking to restrict gift cards and one purchase per mastercard.

Whoever was in charge of this promotion is definitely getting fired

Please don't use this for gift cards. Seriously, stop making a hassle for everyone and getting the manager involved in everything just because you want to take advantage of a mistake they made. It's an amazing deal as it is. Don't be greedy.
This is a very easy denial. They will not even try it...
If you by some stuff, that is there store sell and would give it a shot..

I went up to buy VISA gift cards. First manager came and said only 1 per customer. Then she walked back and came out and told us that they can't change the price on the VISA gift card. She said a Amazon gift card would work though.

So $100 Amazon for $50. Pretty slick. They had to manually price adjust.

poor bestbuy getting abused again....
Yeah this is almost sad..

Oh well, what can you do when presented an opportunity like this, right?

I can't be the only one who feels bad about it though.

I got it to work at BestBuy #469 in Staten Island.
It was completely hassle-free. The cashier scanned it and it rang up without a problem. Check out took 30 seconds - 20 of it was waiting for the card signature authorization.

Anywhere in the city ? I'm sure it will be dead by the time I get out of work.

Sorry, you misunderstood. All I meant is what the other people responding meant. AFAIK you could only get to see this coupon from an email link. It wasn't just posted on the front page of their website.

However, they would have had to have been hacked beautifully for this to be fake. It definitely isn't fake as the manual code is working when put into a BB computer.

Its the real deal, but its going to die from abuse and from being widespread, no doubt about it.
agreed, the manual overrides will either kill the coupon or those managers will have a STERN talk. But the managers will claim the coupon did not exclude GCs, and blame BB corporate for their incompetence of not clearly marking exclusions or alerting stores with a heads up to make it smoother for the customer.

All around, how can BB screw up so bad with this promo and now have their stores ready Facepalm

this I know, but the post said it was ON their site.
I was trying to look for it on their site too.
If it was on there earlier, it must have been quickly removed.
