I think I just got karma'd for trolling this thread earlier about getting ten giftcards.

I went to the store just now to actually buy a product, since the GC idea was a pipedream from the start. I went up to the register with a 1tb Caviar Black HDD and a stick of gum. The coupon did not scan, so the manager came, reviewed the coupon, then told me to wait while he walked to the back and picked out a $130 HDD. He scanned it and the coupon worked; thus he told me that unfortunately, the item I must buy must be a single item valued over $100. I told him this is incorrect, the coupon states "Scan all product(s)" which means it is the value of the whole purchase, not a single item.

What can I do now? This is the only Best Buy for sixty miles, and I really want this drive. Is he right?
No he is wrong...I used it for 2 items. Both 60 dollars.

He's incorrect, but he's also the one who has the final say.

Unfortunately for you he's incompetent, but so is this promotion...and company.

haha.

it clearly says "$100 purchase" not $100 item

so does the purchase need to be $150 so you're spending $100, or does the total just need to be over $100, so you'd pay like $50 or so?

Try the BB at Flushing.
Does it work at the Flushing one? I don't have a MC though so would need to get a prepaid.

Not sure if it has been posted, but it seems to allow you to buy the TIVO Premiere TCD746500 model. The coupon would make it $50, pretty good. On my way to try. Wish me luck.

I would think that a TiVo would qualify as a set-top box. But let us know.

I was able to get an Apple TV, but manager had to override.

Other products should be good to go though. Not sure why I couldn't use it to Pre-order Starcraft 2 and SimCity Frown
lol I tried to pre-order teh same things and I got shotdown. Then I switched up SC2 with the Last of Days and it still failed (cashier said to try that).

What a shame on teh pre-orders!

Texas BB, (don't want to share my exact store, as I am sending family there and want to make sure they still have some in stock).

Four separate transactions. No manager needed, but cashier did have to manually apply discount because register wouldn't auto deduct. Also, coupon wouldn't scan, but after it was manually entered it showed up on the screen.

$400 in amazon cash for $200!!!

why bother even telling us if you wont share your store? pure stupidity.

So the coupon doesn't work with gift cards or Kindle Paperwhite w/o manager approval, What does the coupon work for without issue?

The latter. You just need to buy $100 worth of items and it will get discounted down to $50.
