It all depends on the manager who is called to approve the coupon.
It's not going to go through automatically. However, people are reporting success with iTunes GCs taking the coupon without approval.
But they have posted that no manager was called over or override needed. Coupon scanned fine and discount worked.

The Best Buy in Main St. Flushing (Skyview Mall) is all go on Kindle GC. I did 2 deals. They have $50 GCs near the Kindle area by the laptops. Just bring change of cloth and a hat. There was only one checkout girl (very cute with nice ass) when I was there. I did one and got a free lunch at Five Guys and returned for one more. Will go back there tonight during my run for one more go. No override needed. No manager was called. I think if he was called, it would have been no go.
I was just there earlier and tried to buy a game card for League of Legends and she said not GCs so I think it depends on cashier

does the coupon work on lenses? The fine print reads lenses are excluded.
The wording of the fine print excludes Sony and Nikon DSLR stuff, but not Canon. A couple of folks in this thread have gotten Canon lenses for $50 off today.

no go at mission valley best buy on buying Amazon GCs, but the coupon took no problem and i got other stuff - me and another guy sat there while they read the coupon. They saw it didnt specifically exclude GCs but werent going to give us an override either (but then again, me and the other guy didnt bark up the tree that much so you're welcome to try....)
Thanks lazyboredhungry! I'm giving a try later after work to get the toshiba 3TB.

this may be the dumbest thing best buy has ever done. what will stop people from printing 100 of these and using them at different stores and/or at different times of the day throughout the promo period?

Did you get the one with dark long hair and a nice ass? She was very cute. I do here in a sec. She was the only cashier and at the foremost towards the door.
BigBalls, She might pony up for some mastercard cash....Think outside the box!!!

And on top of that, the store managers could easy stop the gift card abuse by, oh, pulling the gift cards off the shelf. Do the managers WANT BB to go out of business?

I have this part. What I'm interested in are the headers which show the bestbuy email it was sent from.
If they give you a hard time, go to the BB facebook page. It's right there: a BB fb person saying the coupon is legit. There's a link a few pages back.

Used it for a Netgear router. The rep suggested that my daughter apply for the credit card, regardless of approval the additional $20 discount was added to the purchase. Saved $70 out the door. Thanks and repped.

Hypothetically if you were able to get a BB $100 GC, could you return that?

Just bought a 2-pack of sonicare toothbrushes. At checkout, she rang me up, accepted the coupon no questions asked, and I was able to add a second manufacturers coupon I got from the dentist. Did have to use a Mastercard.

Was that per the cashier that you had to use a mastercard?
