I have this part. What I'm interested in are the headers which show the bestbuy email it was sent from.
I got one of these emails directly from Best Buy, this morning. It came as a regular mailing that I get from them all the time. It was probably meant to go to people who are active in the Best Buy Rewards program, not to everybody.

What I don't understand is why they didn't notify the store managers about this promotion in advance. DuH!

Worked in Sacramento, bought a heart rate monitor watch I've been wanting forever but wasn't willing to pay the price. I tried to get gift cards but it was a no-go. It's ok.

I think I'm going to go back and get some headphones...

One tip is, the black and white coupons scanned while a color copy didn't.
which store did you go to.

this may be the dumbest thing best buy has ever done. what will stop people from printing 100 of these and using them at different stores and/or at different times of the day throughout the promo period?

Did you get the one with dark long hair and a nice ass? She was very cute. I do here in a sec. She was the only cashier and at the foremost towards the door.

The lawyer that wrote the terms and conditions of this coupon and the marketer whose idea it was are going to have a rough day tomorrow.

they could all be termed and their salarys would not be .00000075% of the money they are losing on this snafu.

Mastercard will likely deny the re-embursement and Bestbuy will become a owned by Tigerdirects parent company. 6 Years later the website will merge with tiger!

Furthermore, Best Buy's comercial insurance policy will be cancelled as they are likely to max that out as well.

This does not add up to be good in the end.

Competition is competition, Take another out and the deals become worse not better.

Eh this seems like a lot of work to spend $50 just to save $50. I don't need any of the crap people are buying. Do you guys need this stuff or you're just buying it because it's a good deal?
Need? No.

But I've been on the fence and a $100 product for $50 is enough to jump.

I went to a store today about an hour ago and they stated that the coupon was meant for a Best Buy MasterCard and wasn't meant for any normal MasterCard. It's a real coupon, just not spelled out correctly. I guess this was a promotion to make people sign up for their card.
Actually, that's bullshit; it says "Save $50 when you spend $100 in-store and pay with ANY Mastercard."

Just cleaned one store out of GCs, was able to chain the prepaid MCs like somebody else, had to use up one completely plus about $6 off the second one for each transaction, but it cost me only $50 to start and each subsequent transaction got me $38 or so for nothing.

I was just tossing the used up MCs as I cashed them in. Ended up with about $800, which I then used on the amazon kindle GCs. Worked out to about $500 in MC and $500 in amazon all for initial $50 outlay. Took about an hour and had no problem using the coupon as many times as I wanted and on any GCs. I think they've capitulated on this one, at least at my store.

I agree, this is not worth the extra money
I agree, it's not worth it if you're just buying it to have.
It might be worthwhile if you're willing to put the effort in to resell, but you've have to mark up the resell to make it worth it.

It's worth it to me since I actually needed a few household things. I don't see any great electronics deals, except maybe the Roku.

Otherwise, if you're lucky enough to get GCs with the coupon, that's always worth it since you're essentially paying $50 for $100. That'll be useful to most people here since a lot of us shop at Amazon regularly. However, this one is seriously YMMV.

Amazon Kindle giftcards do work for all amazon purchases, not just kindle products. They work just like a regular gc from amazon without kindle. Same thing, just kindle on it. Enjoy

I just got back from all 5 Best Buys in the Fort Worth area. 3 of the BBs allowed me to purchase 2 $50 Amazon gift cards with the coupon with a manager override, but would only let me do it once. The other 2 BBs flat out refused. Took me about 3 hours total to make $150...
