Tried buying some ink at Willowbrook, TX as I need to replace my printer ink anyway. I thought ink was among the inclusions (under Computer, Tablet & eReader Accessories). But register didn't give automatic discount, so cashier & manager said they couldn't do anything....

Went down to Office Depot a few blocks down the road, as I remember Office Depot taking competitor coupon. Found my ink there for prices even less than Best Buy's (Lexmark 28/29 for $42.19 and Epson 97 back 2-pack for 59.99). So subtotal was $102.18. I showed the coupon to cashier who assured me they could take it but he just needs a manager override. Manager came to front, glanced at coupon for a second, then put in his number. After $50 amount discount, my subtotal came down to $52.18, and I paid $56.48 with tax. What's even sweeter here is that I have Office Depot rewards, so I'll get 10% back on this ink purchase.look around

I asked them how did they know by looking at it and said something about the ending numbers in the bar code wasn't bestbuy type.
Such BS. Some of the managers are grasping at straws to deny it.

I live in Austin and am going to try the Best Buy on 290 after work. (South Austin) Don't know if anyone on here had luck at that store?
Let me know how it goes this late in the day. I'm contemplating stopping by either the 290/Mopac or the Southpark Meadows location.

thx for fast response but what!
i am seeing mixed responses on whether it is single item purchase or total purchase of $100...? is there even a multiple ink combo for a regular printer at $100....Confused

Got a Roku Manager had to override though - in Milford MA
Another lady bought a printer - NO issues.

However I wanted to get a monitor which was marked down the manager would not be willing to use this coupon on that which was very surprising. He said this is valid on any full price item . Anyways i got the roku for 50 odd .

If Best Buy's ship was sinking from last quarter, after today, it's growing barnacles already on the ocean floor!

Just tried to pick up a Roku 2 ($99.99) and a pack of gum (to push it over the $100), and they said it wasn't going to allow it since there was a 'no set top boxes' exclusion in the fine print on the coupon...

Then I remembered that several people had claimed for it to work on Apple TV for certain, so we tried it plus the gum: only to be told that it was 'excluded'' for being a 'set top box'.

Ironically though,, they tried the Sony Media Streamer equivalent, and it *WAS* going to work. (It was $150 sticker price)

Anyone happen to know if we're doing something wrong? Or are they ringing things up wrong? Lying to us?

Curious since they claimed it was completely out of their hands, and since others had no problems getting Apple TVs and such.

Thank you. Smilie
