Wasn't there a guy that said he had $12500 in amazon gift cards and a $1100 macbook?

I went into Best Buy in North DFW and was told I couldn't use it because it had to be something I received in the mail.

personally i don't think this qualifies. if you have damages, go to court yourself. what would be the benefit of a class action lawsuit unless you are trying to prevent some particular behaviour?

-Best Buy posts coupon spend $100 save $50 with unrestricted terms

-People before 2PM cash in and buy hundreds to thousands on gift cards at 1/2 price with coupon

-Best Buy realizes mistake and completely changes terms of coupons

-People after 2PM have mixed results thereafter, most are shafted by managers and denied

-People are either super angry or super happy or super jealous tonight on SD from others success

-Best Buy is one step closer to company closure with this kind of stupid deal.--The End
Oh I was here on page 10. So people bought THOUSANDS of giftcards with manager overrides?

I can never force my Best Buy stores to do anything. All they do is say no to me. People who posted all sorts of success obviously don't live near the crappy stores I do.
Totally understand your disdain.

My nearest BB, denied use of coupon (no item over a $100). I drove to the next BB, which is always pleasant and accommodating. I bought a 1TB HDD + 16GB SD for $66. They honored the coupon no questions asked. By the way, this was much earlier in the day, before the revision.

I really think people have a legitimate gripe, when it comes to customer service inconsistency.
One of the problems with the corporate BB, is that they let these managers run these stores like they're privately owned franchises.

No hate for BB here, just wish I was treated equally fair, at whichever BB I visit.

maybe I'm a little naive, but why are people bidding over $40 for a gift card that has a value of $25?

why not just buy it from amazon directly?

I think the other bidders are the seller's homeboys/girls. He's trying to lure naive fish into the pond.

Yes I did. I spent about an hour in a half in the store today and slipped my cashier a $20 at the end.

Dude think about it. I had to replace giftcards a couple of weeks ago. There aren't thousands of gift cards hung up for people to buy give me a break. Unless they went to multiple stores.
