That's might be right short term, long term they pissed off a ton of customers that will never again spend a penny there.
Highly doubtful. If they ran this promotion again, I'm sure 99% of these unhappy customers come right back and try again.

I plan on going back today to try for some blu rays. Got them to accept 1 yesterday for Amazon gift cards. I'll enjoy every minute of the scene I will make if they don't accept the coupon. To those of you taking a "moral high ground", nana-nana-boo-boo. No way is this anything but a bait and switch. If it weren't, why has an email not be sent telling everyone who received the coupon that the terms were incorrect?! Because they want you to come to the store to find that out (and since you made the trip, pick up a few things). They deserve this entire fiasco.
Never met someone who enjoys to make a scene and ruin employees days. Will your $20 GC be worth it?

totowa NJ store last night: new rules, expires 21rst, excludes all Apple, no GCs, single item has to be over $100...etc manager was rude and unapologetic, pure BB bullcrap, pure reasons why BB has bad rep.

I had walked in there yesterday (BTW it's officially the Woodland Park Store as the employee's made sure they told me once upon a time) and wanted to use the coupon on a Tritton Warhead headset; I walked in and saw the employee's were typically lost and confused, some in a circle playing with their phones' others ripping off some poor people who didn't speak good English by offering geek squad 'upgrades' to their new equipment, that before I even got to the aisle, I turned around and walked out. I just hate BB and couldn't bring myself to buy anything there even for $50 off. The Totowa/Woodland Park Store may be the worst Best Buy in America. A place where literally none of the employees care.

basically the ones that got lucky are the ones where the Manager took a personal human position to honor the written coupon, despite Corporate pressure.

the others that got shut down are those stores where the Manager chose NOT to respect the coupon and BS-ed their way to SHUT DOWN the customer

<- that is not normal, and that's why in my case I'm not buying anything there anymore. all I got was ink at a discount , then I priced checked on AMAZON and realised I only saved $20 because BB is so overpriced to start with. whatever, BB Bye Bye.

didn't know its called the Woodland Park Store ! thx Smilie
yeah, what attitude there, it's unbelievable.

as an added bonus: pulling into this store and pulling out of it is an absolute risk for your life ( store is direct on direct off, from Route 46 60 mile an hour trafic....)

unlikely. the vast majority of their customers aren't on "deal" websites, and apparently their targeted email was pretty select. so basically they pissed off people that never bother shopping their anyways.

I only used this coupon twice, and at the two bestbuys they didn't get a lof of these coupons. Heck, there were still kindle GCs left.

Nah, That's pretty much par for American mass market customer service nowadays and certainly a common sight for most BB's

not to mention the number of people who attempted to use this coupon on items not in the exclusions of the new version of the coupon who were still rejected.

2 wrongs don't make a right, but they sure make me feel good!

Already said I'd be buying blu rays, but yes, it will be worth 50% off several blu rays. I won't "ruin their day" if they accept the coupon as written. It's up to them.
