I bought an iPad there about 20 days ago. I am going in tomorrow to try to use the coupon, and when/if they refuse, I will go out to my car, get the iPad and receipt, and return it on the spot. Woot
If they let you return it. Read the policy. They don't have to. Even if they do, you'll burn a DL swipe.

For those that are asking, I used it at Staples on Friday for a computer and my mom used it for two Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight. I'm always in there though and the manager knows me, so she called corporate and asked for an override code for both of us.

I also used it at Best Buy in Victor, NY. It took a few minutes of polite complaining and a manger override. I got a Kindle Paperwhite.

Assuming you can figure out how to print more than one, yes, of course. Is that a serious question?
wouldn't you just need to make copies of it since it's not going to scan for other stores other then BestBuy?

.......

Seriously?

Ok, yes, you could either print multiple copies of the coupon OR print one of the coupons and then make photocopies of it.

Wow, this thread has gone downhill fast.

Was able to use mines today on a legit purchase, but with manager override. No complaining, whining, just simple reasoning and was cool and understanding. Kudos to that store and crew nod

Thanks for the encouragement!

I was going to call it a day since I got my $50 GC coming from BB, but decided to give a competitor a shot. I called my local Staples and asked if they accepted competitor coupons. The girl said yes, so I headed over. Picked up a Kindle Paperwhite and had very little issue checking out. The girl I spoke to on the phone rang me up. The manager initially said "this can only be used at Best Buy", but I mentioned I spoke to someone who said I could use it there (I figured it was the girl checking me out, but wasn't 100% until she admitted to saying that). He looked it over for a few seconds, then told her to ring it up as a competitor coupon. He tried scanning it (???) but it didn't go through (obviously), so he just entered in the numbers and took $50 off.

Receipt attached for anyone who it might help.

Good luck!
I'm kind of regretting getting the paperwhite over the Kindle Fire HD. Think its worth the extra $70 for the fire HD?

IMHO, I would much rather get (and I have) a Nexus 7 over a Kindle Fire HD. Price wise, they are the same, but functionality wise, the N7 is much better.

Even though I have a tablet (actually a few) I wanted to Kindle Paperwhite for book reading. I prefer e-ink to LCD displays for long-term reading. I have an older Kindle, but the PW has better resolution, and the built in light is nice too.

So in the end, it comes down to your personal preference and what you intend to do with the device.

As with all things, it comes down to what you prefer. Are you still running WebOS? If so, do you prefer that to Android? If you do, or if you installed Android and are content with the capabilities of the TP, then you might not need to upgrade to the N7.

However, from a hardware, software, etc. perspective, yes, the Nexus7 blows the TP away.

I filed a complaint with the bbb. I encourage you all to do the same.
I wish there was a website to file complaints against entitled consumers.

Best Buy made an obvious mistake with this coupon, and they have every right to correct the mistake. If you ever took a wrong turn, and found yourself going the wrong way down a one way street, I would have no problem with allowing you the courtesy to take corrective action, rather than put yourself in danger.

Have you even put them side by side and done a comparison? It doesn't even look like the same coupon? I wasn't even able to use ONE and was given the run around... Spent 2 hours in store, 3 on the phone being transferred around, an hour in driving back and forth twice... Bought $200 in prepaid MasterCard cards with the intention of using two. Ridiculous... Need I add my 2 month experience of being without my laptop last year when their joke repair center couldn't figure out what was wrong with my 5 year old piece of junk other than the fact it was a piece of junk (that was still under their warranty plan.) I'm tired of their bs. No offense. And with my laptop last year I easily spent over 12 hours on the phone over those 2 months, countless times in store after receiving false pick up in store emails...

I totally forgot about this deal and realized the supposedly last day is today - Jan 27th. The thread is pretty long to go through. Is the deal really dead or still works on certain products?

Voice of reason does not seem to be welcomed in this thread. And folks will use past issues to bolster this issue. I'd be curious to see people actually talk about positive stories at BB, but that is rare. Out of 100 people who could be happywith their shopping experience, 10% will probably say so. Out of 100 people who had a bad experience, 70% will say so.

I've personally only had one bad experience with BB within the past two months and it was with their online customer service, otherwise, no issues. They have room for improvement, but that improvement will need to start with their executive team in my opinion.
