Are you crazy?

So on one hand you are saying how great of a person she is by helping you out, and on the other hand you are telling thousands of people to start calling/emailing her demanding compensation???

As the saying goes, with friends like these....

Here is a little SD rule of thumb: if someone at a company helps you out, as Elizabeth seemed to have done for you, then you should never, never, NEVER drop their contact info into the thread for everyone else to harass them. Because now, assuming Elizabeth ever comes back to work, she's never going to help anyone out ever again.

Good job.
Agreed.

I was browsing the internet today and saw that the deal I got for my Apple TV for $45.15 was on Yahoo and Gizmodo. I found that cool! This was one of my best deals this yearSmilie

What are you babbling about? For someone trying to make a point by acting like they're so much better than everyone else, you certainly have your facts messed up (which just makes you look foolish).

This WAS a valid coupon that BEST BUY sent out to many people. MasterCard has absolutely nothing to do with it - it even says so on the coupon. How do you know that he didn't receive it from Best Buy? You don't. While the vast majority of the people in this thread didn't, that doesn't mean no one did.

And there was no "loophole". Best Buy screwed up and sent out a very good (for us) coupon with almost no restrictions. This wasn't a hack, fraud, etc. It was simply a stupid company making a stupid decision, and then trying to cover their asses from the repercussions.

If you think someone trying to use the legitimate coupon for what it says it's valid for is "robbing" Best Buy, well, you're just an idiot.

Next time you should actually read about the deal and understand what happened before telling people off. And if this thread is 'wasting your bandwidth', feel free to leave.
Like I said many times, there is a big difference between getting a bargain and capitalizing someone's mistake and make him/her pay dearly for that mistake. Even news media mentioned that this deal was too good to be true. I talked to Best Buy manager and he told me not too many people received this offer. But there were so many people who never received this offer, but printed so many coupons they used it to buy thousands of dollars worth of Amazon giftcards at 50% off. They bragged how stupid Best Buy was to give away business to competitors. Let's face it. If Best Buy runs this promo all week, I have no doubt many people here would buy every last giftcards Amazon sells in order to make quick profit on eBay. Nobody cared if Best Buy loses billions on this offer. They don't even care if Best Buy goes out of business next month because of what they did.

So I went to BB yesterday and put the manager in a wrist lock and used the coupon that said it was good for this week. He said okay to that. Then I filled up a kart with stuff and placed them randomly throughout the store. The best is when you ziptie a product to the floor of the kart and they can not figure out what its caught on.

I just thought someone whose job it is to care for customers would be happy to do so. But, I appreciate your advice; perhaps you should remove her contact info from your post as well?

I have to wonder if she also mentioned that you could pass her info out there to everyone on the web (at least on SD) to contact her Scratchchin

Iagree

I cleaned up my post as well, though Im sure the damage is done. I asked the mods to delete her info and they said if that BB employee wants their information taken off, let that person contact SD, otherwise, let it remain. She is probably wondering where the hell on the internet is her info to be bombarded with calls today after helping that one soul....probably never again Facepalm

Fortunately, the person who posted the info removed it (as I did from my quote). Hopefully the outcome wasn't too bad for her.

I'm surprised the mods wouldn't censor it. Then again, maybe not after some of the other blatant disregard for common sense I've seen on this site lately. The fact that they left the "how to commit coupon fraud against Netflix" thread up for an entire weekend, apparently at the direction of the site owner, for example...

In general, I agree that that type of personal info should not be posted here. But I have a open case with that department, and email tag is slow, so I called her and used her. . .to get transferred to the person I needed.

Thanks (and shame on you) roleya for posting it.

Agree that personal info shouldn't be given out but BBB should be notified. This was bad business practice. https://minnesota.app.bbb.org/com...bbbid=0704

They only report to higher agencies when complaints are trending.

Elizebth was not helpful at all.
I sent her email along with my case # as well as I called, she called me back and told me they revised the coupon and they would not honor this. She did not offer any gift card.

I told her that just the last week I bought over $600 worth of goods which she could confirm but still she denied.

Last I said I will return the stuff back to bestbuy and will buy from a different store.

You should have asked Liz to be out on a date later this weekend! Also told her that if she played nicely, you would buy her a nice dozen red roses with a box of the best milk chocolate!

Otherwise, you're just another "dude" among the thousands who are bugging the heck outta her. Why would she care?
