managed to only snag last 350$ worth. 3 guys in front of me had 500$ worht of gc each.

Thank you slickdeals and amazon, and screw you bestbuy.
I don't get this mentality at all.

SCREW YOU, COMPANY THAT JUST ... ummmm, gave me a 100% match to the money I spent.

All the folks laughing at their "screwing over" of "Worst Buy" as they gobble up loads and loads of free money for themselves. I think the words you're looking for are, "Holy crap, thanks!" If and when Best Buy goes under, though, at least you won't have to carry around the awful burden anymore of the hassle they put you through to get all that free money.

For some reason, I keep reading posts like this with Bruce Hornsby playing in the back of my mind, too. Not sure why, but just kinda fits as my theme music for this thread. Heh. Big Grin

Please, how many folks on here actually got the (single) email and didn't just print the PDF 20 times (or more)?

Like I said in my previous posts, they can by law change the terms. I wish they had more intelligent employee's making the coupons too as I could go tomorrow and use it. However, thanks to folks using 10 of them at once, they are ending this deal early.
Oh get over yourself. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Every time a deal like this crops up, people like you have to bitch and whine about it. They'd pull the coupon early anyway just given the massive amount of people using the coupon, even if they'd only used it once.

Best Buy screwed up. People take advantage of it. If you don't understand that, then you should find another site.

Update:

I'm the guy in Chattanooga, TN who posted earlier that BB scanned the coupon and said MasterCard would apply a $50 statement credit to my bill. I'm skeptical about this (and am keeping the receipt to make a return if necessary). However, I did just speak to a BB CSR, who said that, indeed, MasterCard will be applying a statement credit. Who knows, just wanted to throw it out there...
Tell them to give you a $50 Best Buy gift card which you will return once the statement credit applies since they're asking you to rely on the honor system then. The coupon clearly states MasterCard has nothing to do with the promo unless that is just clip art that they decided to add.

But you seem to have the notion that all of this was a simple mistake and they rapidly tried to fix it and save people time when clearly they haven't. The original coupon is STILL on their website! How hard is it to remove a link? I declare that they KNEW it would get abused because they left off certain terms and that is exactly what they wanted. Thousands of people in the stores and a simple "sorry for inconvenience" message. Corporate cares none for their employees. Why do you think they keep bumping up Black Friday hours? "Thanksgiving with families? That's only for people with real jobs, not retail workers".

And our rage comes from a combination of their mistake combined with them blaming their mistake on us. We're scamming them for trying to buy something that is not listed as an exclusion? Or worse, some workers accuse us of having a fraudulent coupon. I remember a K-Mart coupon that was $10 off $20 [consumerist.com] which they posted on their own website as a simple PDF. Then they had signs by the registers claiming that this coupon was doctored and that it was only meant for certain cities which they didn't list on the coupon.

Customer service in the Bay Area, CA sucks...
This is the first BB promotion that has really disappointed me.

Mtn View - no Amazon GCs and no Kindles except for Paperwhite 3G

Santana Row - rejected on Paperwhite. BS about it not being on the "inclusion list."

Colma - rejected on Amazon GC (ok, fine) and rejected on (2) Kindles. Claims must be single item and a mastercard-driven promotion (even though the original coupon CLEARLY states that MC is not a Sponsor of this program). I didn't mind Santana's row rejection but this kind of BS lying annoys me.

I got 4 Kindle Paperwhites (one each at four different stores). None would let me use any more than one coupon at a time. It seems difficult to go back in a second time because you can't get an item yourself, so the employee would see you again. Wish I could have gotten in on the gift card bonanza.

What a horrible store. You have to wait 10 mins for someone to get the item for you. If, of course, you can find someone to help you. Who needs that hassle?

Any chance we can go to Staples tomorrow and have them apply the coupon? I'd like to get a Sodastream for the wife and use my staples rewards.

Went to best buy 30min before and bought an astro a50 headset, OP coupon wouldn't scan but he typed it in and it worked fine. Cashier and signs everywhere said today was the last day and had a huge list of exclusions, thankfully mine wasn't one of them!

If anyone should be bad mouthed it's Amazon and their pricing that is so confusing you have to go to amazon price tracking sites just to know if you aren't paying $30 too much. Thank goodness for the camel! http://www.urlhasbeenblocked/
