How did people get it to work? my best buy said that they couldnt over ride it? it seems they might of been lying.
At least they didn't pull a " pay full price now and MC will refund you $50 in few days" There are a couple of users that got screwed this way by BB

Under Florida law, the last act necessary to complete a contract is the offeree's communication of acceptance to the offeror.
Prime Ins. Syndicate, Inc. v. B.J. Handley Trucking, Inc., 363 F.3d 1089 (11th Cir. 2004)
you still haven't answered my question:

if you are dealing on a tv and the bby drone says $500 for a 60" flat screen and you say OK i'll take it and you go to the register and you give him a credit card and the credit card is declined, are you still obligated to pay since you entered into a contract? or can you still walk away and say i guess i don't have any money....

btw, in my state, you don't need a lawful to go to small claims court therefore no lawyer fees. you will definitely pay lawyers fees in a class action lawsuit, it will come out of your $2 bby gc worth of wins 5 years later. lol

Any success with this coupon for open box? Additional 10% only on open box at local store.
I was able to use the coupon on a receiver that was marked as "open box" and reduced.

You can buy a car using these gc's indirectly. You don't have to add the gcs to your amazon account. Sell them easily for 90% face value cash.
Yeah tbh I would buy 12k of giftcards for 6k in a instant. If you sold most of them, you can get a tidy couple thousand dollar profit to spend on whatever you want while being able to pay off the 6k "down payment".

Thanks OP! I ended up using this on a Samsung TV that I was already planning on buying htis week.. and surprisingly it was one of the "select" TVs that were not in the exclusion list... so no override needed! Extra $50 off

More than happy about that!
yea i thought about that too. but the same tv is sold a lot less amazon even with that 50 off in bestbuy. so do your research before you buy something at BB.

Awesome deal! Too bad that this died after one day and I found it hard to believe that Best Buy would offer a deal like this at all. But, went jsut before store closing tonight and was able to get WD TV Live Media Player for $50, WD 2TB Drive for $60 and a 22" LG Monitor for $90 (wish I could've gotten two of those!)

Was so surprised how easy it was to do in 3 separate transactions where the same manager overrode all 3 of them. Both the cashier and manager were so casual about it....not at all what I would've expected at BB. Was in and out of there in 15 minutes!.Big Grin

So I just did some quick research, and apparently those who only has paypal account would buy those giftcards and use them to pay for the purchases on amazon.
Amazon doesn't take CC from certain countries ( ex Eastern Europe) . With all the mark up on the GC and shipping ( they buy from 3rd party sellers that deliver internationaly) the price of certain items is lower than what they'd pay in their country .

how did people get away with getting so many gift cards and yes that is really greedy. But its sad for the people who couldn't get anything and were trying to illegitimately use the deal. And I want to know how best buy can call it an error when they made so many changes?

Don't this case has anything to do with contract law but violation of business commerce, false advertising with remedy.
It upheld Buell v. State, 704 So. 2d 552, 553 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 1997).
