The Wii U is several times faster on the GPU than the ps3/360, strong on the CPU, and a brand new console with an awesome tablet controller. It's the first of the new generation. If anything, the 360/ps3 need to drop to $99 because right now I can't imagine why someone would buy one when virtually all games of note can be played from them on a PC at graphics levels that make the console versions look like an NES, and bought for $5-15 on sales even as new releases digitally. The Wii U has some games you can't get anywhere else, which is what matters.

sold about the same amount as the Xbox 360 deal. very very sad since it's brand new. NSMB is a good game. BLOPS 2 is pretty fun using the gamepad. nintendo land is decent w/ 4 or 5 players. other than that, I'm disappointed. I played my Vita at launch more than the Wii U.

So you can all hope that Wii U will eventually sell but it's very unrealistic since the demand is no longer there and it's been supplanted by other tech, same with the HP touchpad. |

The xbox 360 and PS3 will never hit under $150, because they remade them. You might see the older white x360 or the big bulky black ps3 on sale for under $150 this year. Depending on your area Wii's could range from $70-120. During the holidays all stores had them virtually for $99 or less. Gamestop has them for $70, I went to target on Sunday and they had them for $100. The poster does have a point compared to every console so far wiiu has had the worse sales performance. I remember when the wii came out they were out of stock for months. Companies were selling the wii in bundles ranging over 500 dollars because they knew people would buy it. Now every store is full stocked trying to perform some promotion to get them out the door. I don't think it is a matter that everyone has one I think it is a matter of people not wanting to spend 330. Nintendo target audience are casual gamers, but casual gamers aren't really looking to go out and spend $330 dollars ona console and another $60 on a game. PS forgot to mention technically the xbox 360 has fallen to $99 dollars. They have a deal where you can pay $99 for an xbox 360, but you have to pay for 2 years of live at $15 dollars a month. Yes it is more expensive, but it allows people to perform some type of payment plan for it instead of dishing out $300 dollars. Last edited by Slashinhobo; 01-22-2013 at 10:27 AM.. the wii can be found at $99 because the new wii u is out now. it doesnt matter if there is a new slim design in xbox or playstation. once the upcoming xbox and playstation are released, the xbox 360 and ps3 will continue to drop in price. as for the wii u, i dont think $300-350 is unreasonable. the cost of everything else seems to be rising these days. im sure the upcoming playstation or xbox will turn even more buyers away due to a hefty price tag. |

Got mine back today from Nintendo. I sent it in for repair.
NOt only did I get used console back that was in worse shape than the like new one I sent in, but it still has the same problem. Waste of time. It still asks to calibrated or loses connection every 1/2 second in the F-Zero game in NintendoLand making that game unplayable. So I imagine it will still have random yet consistent slowdown and glitches in most of the other games. Thing is it worked perfect for me for 45 days or so. Maybe there is some interference in my home that wasn't there before. I did hang my tv on the wall not too long before the problems started? Otherwise things are the same I think. Maybe my kids have a new toy that interferes with the thing? I guess I could explore that. But ... Not that it doesn't mostly work. But before it was perfect for ...45 days. and now the random slowdown really puts a damper on the family fun. Now I might just return the thing to the store and try a brand new one. And lose all the saves my kids built up, Miis, wii games from the e-shop, wii saves, Nintendo network id, ....etc. |
