I think the new Game consoles have pretty much run it course. Hard to find new reasons really to upgrade. Graphics are great already. How much better can it be. More speed, for what, if games releases are lacking. Of course that just me.

I'm enjoying the Wii U so far. NSMBU is a lot of fun, NBA2K13 is a good game except for the crappy 2K servers, and Trine 2 has been fun. Games will come, it is very early in the launch.

My kids have loved it so far. It's not the grandparents too console that the wii was, but there are a lot of fun games so far. I don't think it's going to be a flop, but I don't think it will be a wii either. If you're on the fence I don't think a $20 discount is enough for you to buy though.

The Wii U has more games at release than other consoles. I am getting the Wii U for two reasons, 1 is as an HTPC, since I stream all my videos on my computer to it to my TV or on the tablet when I go to sleep, and 2 is that I got it from the amazing 1st party games including Super Mario, Mario Kart, Super Smash, Animal Crossing, Zelda, etc. Anyways, they have the same games (minus exclusives) being released as other consoles now, including Batman Arkum, Blacks Ops, and Assassin's Creed, and some nice exclusives like Monster Hunter. The Wii U is solid.

Also to people saying the next gen 360 and PS3 graphics will be amazing, we're talking a difference of one generation in GPUs, which if you try to show me screenshots of a gtx 570 vs gtx 670 graphics, I will notice very little difference at 1080p (or none).

I'll be getting a Wii U eventually. On a 67" TV I prefer HD, and the kids love Nintendo exclusive games like Mario and Zelda. As others have mentioned, there are better deals to be had on craigslist than this deal.

Yeah I agree about the first party games, the problem is who knows when they are coming out? NSMBU, sure, but I'm not dropping $350 on a WiiU just to have it sit gathering dust (like my Wii) until next year when ZeldaU or SSBU come out. The price will likely drop as well by then.

I already got burned twice by being an early adopter for the Wii and the 3DS.

I already own a Wii U Deluxe, seeming awfully expensive for a handful of exclusives at the moment, but the stuff is damn fun.... and there's another several games coming I want already in the first half of this year still (Rayman Legends, Lego City Undercover, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, etc.) with a couple already there that are exclusive (New Super Mario Bros. U, NintendoLand). Still, I would probably hold off if I were looking to buy again, and get a nice deal on the console once those other games are out, as well as bigger discounts on the games.

Because controlling an RTS with a controller is like trying to paint with the paintbrush held between your teeth.

It's not really a sign that RTSes are too hard for "console noobs" or anything; the console control schemes just really do not work well for a game that requires huge selection drags and incredibly fast map movement.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Own a deluxe already, and while NSMB U was a lot of fun, I was looking forward to Pikmin for at least one upcoming reason to have a Wii U.

I keep telling myself that I will buy it anyways when the new Zelda hits, so I an not hurting too badly.
