To anyone on the fence, I'd like to offer my feedback on this phone. I'm pretty device agnostic. My first smartphone was was an Android, the HTC Inspire 4g which I rooted and alternated between Cyanogenmod and MIUI. After a year of owning that phone, I decided to buy a tablet and went with a 'new' iPad which I still have and use very much. And finally about a month ago I bought the 920, entering the Windows Phone 8 arena.
I love absolutely everything about the 920 with the exception of the weaker than ios/android marketplace. It's not a huge deal as they have apps that work just as well (or better in some cases) than their ios/android counterparts, but if you're looking for a very specific app, you may want do a search for it first. With that said, the amazing camera, wireless charging, great battery life, and beautiful screen/OS definitely make up for what little it may [currently] lack in the app department. If anyone wants some more feedback, please ask I'll be happy to reply! This phone (and windows phone 8) seems to still suffer from MANY of the negative stigmas which no longer exist. |

I've always wondered about this: is it possible to sign up for a two year plan, get a phone at the discounted price, cancel service in the first few days, keep the phone, pay the ETF (325), then sell the phone on ebay and keep the profit?
In this case, the two ETFs would be 650. The phone looks to be selling for ~420 on ebay. $100+ money maker after ebay/paypal fees? Surely I'm missing something. |

i think there is still 4 months to go i don't see anyone selling unlock code online so my guess is pretty difficult now if you don't want to wait just like me then go out and buy the unlocked version Last edited by MaxRider; 01-21-2013 at 04:15 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

If you get them both on a family plan do you need to pay 2x ETFs or just one? Activation+ETF <$400 for 2 phones? If so, I'm in. |

In any event - your fees on eBay are pretty big. I think it's normally about 10% or so of the final sale price. That $100 profit per phone just shrunk to $60. Then you have shipping (not sure if your $420 sale prices included free shipping). I guess if you can get it without an activation fee and avoid paying a month of service then you have a shot at $50-$60/phone. This is a sick phone. Wish I could grab one off contract and unlocked for a reasonable price. Can't bring myself to pay $450-$500 for one. |

Agnostic = Non-Believer
The Inspire first made the scene in Jan 2011; I find your history with smart phones laughable with no offence intended. Since I do not walk in the same path as non-believers, it may be possible that your words got muddled and you was just trying to say: if you need a specific app, check the app market prior to purchase. We got this deal last Friday with sister phone.
We upgraded 2 line in their family plan, we got 2 Lumia 920 and 2 "free" wireless charger. But what the lady did at the at&t store was charge us for the wireless charger but not on the phone. we paid $49 per wireless charger for the total of $99. she was saying that they need to get paid for the accessories or something like that.. at the end is we only paid $99 (2 lumia with 2 wireless charger). I asked my sister to call at&t cs as soon she received the bill to ask to waive the activation fee. |
