I'm not buying one, but I would've bought one for $10. I wish it wasn't ebay because ebay is raping the seller so we're probably the one's paying the extra $2.

$10 shipped, no tax, I'm in. This deal.. umm.. who the hell buys universal remotes anymore? Our cable remotes usually are universal.. Only reason I like this remote it because it's Logitech, and I like the layout.

That's just eBay's definition of what constitutes "New Other"; the seller explicitly says they're new in bulk packaging twice in the listing.

You can get these working but it was a real pain and I eaily see why there are so many refurbs cause people give up on the terrible software and return them.

I got a pair of these year ago. Worst config software ever. Have to use a Windows system with online connection and a working Silverlight install to generate and download the config. Additionally you have to dedicate 1 email address to each remote to save the configuration.

The Silverlight software was really buggy and ended locking out 2 different addesses I tried where it would keep erroring out on the download. Multiple tech support tickets could not reset or release the addresses. I ended up using invalid fake address to get the profile to generate correctly.

Tax for ny kills this deal for me.

Those concerned with lag, make sure you tweak the settings because they all start with pretty bad lag.

That said, the URC-WR7 doesn't suffer from lag. Not quite as user friendly or as easy to configure, but a better remote in the end. More devices can be controlled, no real lag, doesn't crap out a year later. The lack of software is really the only disadvantage. But, they work better when they don't rely on software

I see where he's coming from with this. Sure you could program one of the unused shortcut keys to be skip next/back buttons, but it's nice to have a proper full set of DVR buttons all in one place, as with the Harmony 300/300i. In my case it's especially crucial, since the remote is for my parents, who don't need any more confusion in their lives.
