The adapter though is way over priced in my opinion. You can buy two or three PS3 remotes for the same cost.

That is a little harsh...the software is fine IMO...no idea why anyone would have an issue with software that requires online connection in this day and age...while the software is certainly not very intuitive, it works well...

This post is to counter all the Logitech haters. I've had 5 various models over the years and they all worked great. 1 of the refurbs I bought died after 12-15 months of use but crap happens. Actually my fiancee has a habit of letting it fall off the bed and drop on the floor (2-3 times a week) so that's probably why it broke.

The software to setup the remote is great imo. It does the job and it stores your configuration in case you break or lose your remote so you can easily transfer your saved configuration to a new remote, different model even.

Wow. These have gotten cheap. Am I the only person who doesn't mind using two or three remotes? The remotes that come with the devices are the easiest, and most thought out remotes to use... of course, I control my Apple TV and Roku with my iPhone, so that might be why.

The problem isn't necessarily YOU, the guy who setup the devices and KNOWS how everything has to be configured. It's usually everyone else (the spouse, kids, grandma, babysitter, etc.) who is clueless in general about tech, let alone your setup. Given enough devices, you may otherwise need to provide a cheat sheet. And even then, what happens when you need to reconfigure devices as they come and go. Yep, updates to your cheat sheet. But a Harmony eliminates all that by hiding the details behind a single button that always works.

So yeah, if it's only YOU, managing all those remotes is probably not that big a deal. And even for 2-3 devices, a Harmony may be overkill (esp. for only 2 devices). But if you can one for $12, and assuming it's not been compromised by Logitech to keep the cost so low, it's probably worth it even then.

BEWARE: I purchased this remote from this same seller a few months ago. It was definitely not "New". Additionally, it comes with no warranty, other than the seller's own 14-day return policy. And mine is now dead.
