They also said my account had the note to have the price adjusted, and that I would be able to cancel without ETF if the situation was not resolved within 30 days. Sent from Slickdeals App for iPhone & iPod Touch. |

I had once signed up through "welcome back" offer and was supposed to get $10/month off my bill for 24 months for coming back, on top of all the current offers. Well, the $10 off per month did not stick. I had to call them every month for 3 months, and finally got fed up, and threatened to cancel. The CSR besically said once the plan is in the system, no one can change it. He just generated a one time credit of $210 ($10/mont x 21 remaining months). I would not be surprised if Verizon used some sort of Java based home brew of a billing system. 5 TV's in the house with Verizon FiOS and we only pay $3.99/month to connect all 5 of them. Thanks to Ceton InfiniTV4 and CableCard.

As to billing errors, when I signed up I was shorted $5 a month for some reason. They said they couldn't add it back into my plan but they could give me a $60 credit for the 1 year instead so who knows what the hell goes on there. Last edited by Killerz; 02-15-2013 at 08:31 PM.. |

Got my first bill with similar problem - $45 more. First CSR was very rude. I wish I had recorded the conversation. Second and Third CSRs were good. They finally provided me with a number to call on Monday (2866 818 0295). I have never had a good experience with Verizon so I printed out the order summary page when I signed up.

Verizon is actually counting on most people forgeting about this deal and that is why they are dragging it out as they are in hopes that the remaining group of people willing to file complaints will be so small that they will also tell us to go pack sand. People have gotten too passive when it comes to big business or government telling them no and they don't want to put up a fight for their rights anymore. You can damn sure believe if anyone of us had signed a contract with Verizon such as we have and we canceled after the 30 bow out period that we would get hit with that ETF and Verizon wouldn't back down from that. I had planned on calling Verizon again on Friday but I got in to late to call. I will be calling them this coming week and if they still don't have an answer to resolve this I will be going ahead with filing complaints with the BBB, the FTC and the F.C.C. and I will try to setup a contact person for everyone to call and voice their complaints as a group in whole and maybe we take this as far a class action law suit. I believe once that is filed Verizon has to turn over a list of everyone involved that signed up on that date to see if they want to be involved in the suit against them. I suggest that anyone that is still willing to call and fight Verizon on this to record the phone calls and or copy and paste their online chats and during both requests names of who they are speaking to and their REP ID #'s and a contact phone # to reach back to the person you spoke to if in fact you get ahold of someone of any real authority at Verizon. If they refuse to give you a REP ID # as they have me recently then anything they say doesn't mean s#it as they are not willing to be held accountable for what they told you. The evidence you collect now is what is going to win this for you. I still hope to hear from others in this forum still willing to put their dog in this fight. Rep'em if You Got'em

Well said Tator. I plan on obtaining and keeping as many documents as possible to prove my case. I don't hold out much hope for group action but I have been in this situation before (not Verizon, though) and found that facts and documented proof go a long way in convincing a company to back down. If they pull a credit report then that should strengthen the case against them. I am confident those who perservere will get the promised price.

Does anybody know if their current rates are generally the best deals they offer, outside of glitches? I'm with Brighthouse but their (a) internet sucks (b) increasing my bill by $20. For the $120 I'd be paying Bright House, I can get Fios with their stupid adapters. I was hoping to reduce it alittle since I know taxes would bring the bill up some, but if they don't have any better deals..

I am with you on this. Legally they don't have much to stand on as long as evidence is there. I have the print out of the order confirmation to me. They gave me a bogus fax # I will be in contact with them again tomorrow. |

also, i have more than enough evidence as well (order print outs and chat logs) |

Got a call back from Verizon and I explained the problem. The CSR told me to fax the evidence to her.
