It's ridiculously easy. It walks you, step by step...damn near click by click. It actually comes with instructions that are specific to GV. You do not get a number with the adapter. You will have to provide one from GV. You do NOT need a SIP phone. You can use any phone to plug in and get dialtone. |

As for the OBi110. I got one a couple of months back. Works, mostly, like a charm. If you turn it on and leave it on, works perfectly. I turn mine off at night to save power. 9/10 times, it's back up in seconds. 1/10 times though. It takes like 5 mins to work itself out. I just ended up putting it on a timer, I don't even think about it. Voice quality is just as good as a real phone. Way better than using Google Voice on my laptop for some reason. GrooveIP sounds like a string and tin can in comparison. |

Also, question about how to set up my phones. So I have 3 landline phones, 2 in rooms, 1 in the living room. I'm assuming the way to set up a phone is router <ethernet> obi <phone plug> telephone. But I only see two telephone jacks on the obi. So does that mean I can only connect two phones max? Also, does that mean I need to do some crazy rewiring in my house? |

My only issue is not this device, but GV related. I use GV for Visual Voicemail on my Android Phone, once I got this product, I cant seem to call home with my Cell as it goes straight to voicemail thinking I am calling to check it, not sure how to fix this without possibly getting another GV number with a separate account. Other than that, this product works great, I have the 100.

As others have said, when UPS comes, refuse it. Or, if they leave it at the door, whatever you do, don't open it up and take it to a UPS store or elsewhere to return. At least you won't be out a return shipping fee. Restocking fee, I don't know. The truth: Management at IRS can blame themselves and how they have chaotic and poor management, but God-forbid you, or I, or anybody else in America gets audited and doesn't have their ducks in order and s***-together, your ass is going to court or jail.
Shout out to Congressman Mike Kelly for stating it as it is... Link [realclearpolitics.com] |

So how many watts do you think you're saving every night? Google Voice is giving BarHawkaphone a run for its money. Last edited by Hawk2007; 01-23-2013 at 12:34 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Anyone using net talk? My renewal will be up in few months and I'm thinking about getting this one instead. $30+tax for nettalk yearly plan which about the same as purchasing this adapter. If I get this one, am I able to use it with my security alarm company? I figure 911 call is not so important because I have hot button on the alarm box to call the security company.

As someone in the dialtone provider business, I would suggest you have your security alarm serviced by dialtone provided from a simple copper pots loop. Do not use voip. |
