Sucks to be me..turns out that I CANT cancel my order...Apparently, it is already in route to be shipped! WTF??..They were closed and it says ships in 3 days..Plus, there is a 15% restocking fee!!..Oh well, such is life!!

Got this for 406 + tax
Is this a good deal or should I cancel it?

So...guess I'm late again to the Lenovo Outlet sale. Been waiting for this to try to get a 3rd gen i5 for myself for ~$300+. Still, thanks & repped for posting the deal, OP! Does anyone know approximately how long I will have to wait for another one of these sales? Edit: I see someone above posted an answer ("every few weeks") to my question.

Well actually it is, form factor and performance is much bigger, but I was on my iPad and the E530 timed out of my cart before I could check out... And then luckily I ran into this, which I decided to splurge. This is the first time I have ever spent over $350 on a laptop. I always get something for under $300 or so from this outlet, money gets tight as a college student, luckily SD helps to me keep a bit of income as well.

Anyway, as for the tablet usage, I planned on using it to take notes for my classes, I am a college student. And from the looks of it, it seems to do its job with just the pen. So with this, I do not have to worry about my arms or hands getting in the way, and I can just write with the pen.

Am I getting it right? Or would it not work for that purpose? If it works out, I can get rid of my tablet in the process.

I see, I initially had it in my cart but because I definitely wanted something to replace my current laptop + iPad setup, I need it to perform exactly like a tablet, meaning I should be able to interact with it using fingers and gestures. Therefore I removed it from my cart, thinking back I probably would have purchased it and try out. You got it right, you are able to take notes using the pen just fine, just not things like pinch to zoom.

Do all Lenovo's have the touchpad where the "button" area is also part of the touchpad? My wife has a new laptop and hate sit because of the touchpad quirks. I'd get her one of these but if it's the same as what she has, it won't help. hmm

Her's is the Z580 from the Staples deal back in August or whenever that was.
