are the gestures on this programmable? I would love to use this with windows 7, if i could reconfigure gestures on it for something like going back or toggling through tabs on a browser.

How functional is this with Win 8? I mean I am on Win 7, I tried Win 8 once and without touchscreen on my desktop it felt clunky at best, tried it on my HTPC and it was a disaster, and now running it only on my netbook because it is more lightweight than Win7... but I also installed the start button so it's not really taking advantage of any touch features since it'as not touch.

I am leery only because I can't find anyone one who reviewed this or really sharing their personal experience with one of these on a desktop system and Win 8...

this may be a long shot....but does anyone know if you can use this touchpad as character input on Windows 7? For example, can you use your finger to write chinese characters with some special software?

I'm debating myself, is this going to be useful or will it end up just sitting on my bookshelf like the rest of the mouses that I have. Would love to see some reviews of this thing before I bite.

I can't seem to find any drivers or anything on the Lenovo website for this thing. I'd like to know if it would work on Win7 as well since I'm too lazy to reformat and install Win8 at this time. Lenovo usually has sales on their peripherals regularly so I think I'm going to wait for some reviews of this before getting it. I love trying out new input devices but that trackball I have in my closet is telling me to stop buying stuff to try for a few days to only shelf it.
