MCO (Orlando) car rental 9 days

I purchased Avis vouchers for my last trip from craigslist for $18.00 per day so my one week rental was around $140.00 for full size car , you may want to search the craiglist

You can get a midsize through National for $283, including insurance, when you use contract ID 8572130. The only restriction is that this code is for members of KLM's frequent flyer program - it doesn't matter if you've never flown with them before, you just have to be a member. Take 3 minutes - sign up on their website, and you're in.

You can probably find some National coupon codes to go with it, too - they usually have a free day or $30 off code floating around out there somewhere.

Of course, if you have $300 in Hertz vouchers, it may be silly to look at any other options.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but how'd you get these vouchers? Do you rent from them frequently?
I'm trying to find a 9-10 day car rental in the LA area in about 3 months.

Would prefer a mini van and the cheapest I'm finding is $350 from airport van rental but that does not include insurance, additional drivers, etc. and is a much smaller company than the competitors.

I am looking for a minivan for a trip to Orlando as well. Any suggestions?

thank you this is the cheapest I have seen on this one. do I need to see proof of membership when we claim the car? we are going in June and would love to use this discount.

You should check mousesavers dot com. They post all kinds of codes for rental car deals in Orlando. You may have to check a bunch of them because they come & go as to validity.
The site also has ways to save on all kinds of things at Walt Disney World.

I've never been asked to, but KLM should provide you with a membership number and/or card. It probably wouldn't hurt to have that on hand when you pick it up, just in case.

I got them when Hertz failed to have a car for me for my reservation.

Thanks to all for all the suggestions. I haven't decided yet. The vouchers are worth $300 and expire in Sept'13. So, would like to rent through Hertz. I am also looking at option of doing 2 one-way rentals. Costing about $100 each way. Have my cousin's car there during that week.

Avoid the airport if you can- if you can find a rental co just a few miles away (like E Kissimmee) you will save a grip of cash! May seriously be worth the taxi fare for one person to pick up the rental!

You can also try priceline or hotwire. You can see past bids on biddingfortravel.com

Couldn't get a good price from MCO. So booked a one way rental from Jacksonville to MCO (there was no extra fee for 1way). Total came to $408 for a week using jet blue airways CDP (1790143) which gave 10% off price and then a $30off coupon from hertz website for weekly rental on minivans. After the $300 in certs, it will be 108 out of pocket.
Now, to find deals on Disney tickets etc.
