Eh, it's just a basic cheaply made plastic toaster. Of the two items, the steam iron gets the better reviews. I haven't had the chance to try the toaster out... but I wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't "toast" things evenly. Heck, even some of the more expensive units have hot spots where one part of the waffle/toast gets burnt.

The toaster probably has a real world value of about $10, but if you don't like it, you could always donate it to a homeless shelter or some other charity. They always need small appliances.

What's the best way to use these Amex giftcards? I got one for a phone rebate a year ago, and it's slowly ticking down in value because the couple times I've tried to use (for online purchases) it wouldn't go through. Quite possibly my fault but annoying nonetheless.

For unused ones you can get a check. If you don't have anything to spend yours on (I'm sure you can find something) you can buy a gift card.

For small things...I often use them on stupid things like groupon or google offers etc...

I also used them at gas stations before but sometimes they don't like taking them

When I am really lazy or they have a very small balance...I just buy amazon GC with them (bought like a gazillion 2 dollar amazon GC lol)

buy a bunch of meaningless crap.. wait cant use these or cash em out.. just gotta buy a bunch of software thats free and will go nicely in the staples 50 page shredder with titanium blades makes a nice crunchy sound
