I usually don't believe in scary reviews for HDD, but man, I ordered 3 x 3TB of these WD red drives off newegg and one of them is DOA. First time I have a HDD DOA on me for the last 12 years...

The reviews are still good overall, far more positives than negatives. Plus, you should factor in that people are much more likely to leave a review if they have a problem than they are if everything goes fine.
I ordered one a couple weeks ago and it works perfectly, excellent drive. On that note, it was $109.99 when I bought it, does Newegg have any kind of price guarantee or anything? I'm wondering if they will refund me the difference. |
