The North Face Men & Women's Denali Core Sweater Fleece Jacket -$69.98 + S/H

Again, It's a core jacket/sweater/whatever, meant to be worn under a windproof shell. If you buy this to wear by itself, you will probably end up returning it and posting a bad review like all the folks who don't read the product description.

Just when I thought TNF couldn't make the Denali Jacket any worse, their finest accountants stepped in made a cheaper, thinner version and named it a "sweater"?

not so cheap
not so warm
not so windproof
not so breathable

not well made and IMO not so stylish...

That's not telling much since the comparison can be made to an older TNF item. The quality of TNF has lowered a bit since former years.

Got the same price in store, rings up same price! It is a sweater but I think it fits nicer than normal fleece ones.

i'll respond exactly as i did last time.

you're defining yourself by what you wear just as much as these supposed "bots", when you think that NOT wearing TNF makes you somehow better or more down-to-earth, or whatever you think is so great about yourself.

just buy well-made stuff that you need to allow you to do the things you want to do in life, and then move on to the actual living your life part. worrying about accidentally having a jacket other people have is a waste of time, and shows you care about appearances as much as someone who buys it only because it's TNF.

I stopped by my local store on the way to work just to take a look at this thing. They had only one in stock, red, size large, marked $139 (down from $199). I get what they mean by "sweater" material, but I sure as hell wouldn't mistake it for a sweater. All in all, it looked fine, quality seemed decent. The only significant negative that jumped out at me was that the arms seemed huge. Like I could wear water wings and still comfortably slip into the jacket.

Yup, never really understood that whole concept that people seemed to have. It can be applied to just about anything really. Everyone wears Nike basketball sneakers, but should you stop? I wouldn't, they're mostly pretty well made so that's where my money goes.
